I don’t know. They could take a foot out of that huge front end and add it to the cab and keep the 5ft bed.

I believe these changes were absolutely necessary to stay relevant in a tightening market.

Toyota is hemorrhaging market share on reliable brands. If the Tacoma/Tundra sales stall they are in the deepest shit financially.

Not enough to get me to trade my 18, but had I known then what I know now, I would probably have gone a completely different route. I am new to Tacoma land after all.

Agreed. I would not buy a 19 without an Power Seats and New Radio.

I feel I was sold a bag of goods on the 2018 Entune.

Don't be surprised if it's offered as a paid upgrade. There is nothing I am aware of that would prohibit that from happening.

The problem is the royalty fee owed to Apple and Google for functionality. Remember that Toyota guards reputation and customer satisfaction surveys influence these decisions. Shit cars are starting to be looked at like phones and software updates will be a big deal going forward.

Kinda funky grills & taillights but those TRD Pro wheels are nice! Power drivers seat & new HU's along with the Army green will be huge selling points

This is a huge update for Toyota!
Not really anything I have to have although the new Head unit with all the cameras would be nice.
Not a fan of electric power seats though.
Inferno is still gone so I’m never trading:(

Also I’m perfectly happy with the engine and trans (mine is a 6MT). I smile every time I drive my truck! I love how revvy it is. Way better engine than my old 4.0L.
Different strokes for different folks, but I could not imagine being happier with any other Toyota engine in this truck.

I'm sure it's already been posted but it only took them until 2020 to get intermittent wipers on the base model...

While my rig was in getting the frame replaced I was stunned when the nearly new 2018 SR I got as a rental didn't have them.

Not so sure about this grille. It’s like a grille within a grille. Toyota seems to really struggle in this grille department.

Maybe it’s just one guy doing all the designs? Like......”hey Bob....design us another Grille.”.......”sure thing boss, give me a minute or two”.

Got rid of tons of chrome

how about a toyota hybrid motor? You are more likely to see that than anything you want to see. By 2025 i believe toyota will have a hybrid model for every vehicle in their line up

But probably will still have the chrome rear bumpers. Making the bumper the only piece of chrome on the truck on the lower models....which looks kinda weird to me. Makes it look unfinished.

I have always thought that a color-keyed front bumper and chrome rear bumper look off to me. Besides, I don’t know anyone who likes chrome anymore. The big 3 seem to overload their trucks with chrome (I assume) to associate it with a truck-tractor. But even they are offering near complete monochromatic schemes.

Toyota could’ve done themselves a favor and just started painting all their rear Taco bumpers.

Also I’m sorry to all those who “love” the new OR grille but all I still see is:

I gotta agree. It’s just a way in this model to make a little more $ by adding on packages you may or may not want just to make the truck look normal. Lol. I am glad they are easy removable and paintable or you can cover them with those cover things sold on here. Just looks odd. Especially since chrome is the devil of all evil!!!

Our head unit does not support Entune 3.0 I have been told by a Toyota tech. The hardware inside does not support the new software.

Those tail lights on the OR have to some some of the worst ever. That chrome is atrocious.

Not sold on the head lamps either. Remind me of the Tacoma Beast ones & seem kinda cheap looking. Maybe they will look better in person.
