It’s placebo at best. The onslaught of complaining will begin shortly, based on all previous years since 2016. I actually think the first guy to post “2020 transmission problems” as a thread title, should get some sort of prize.

Sounds to me the OVtune guys need to take a DEEP look at what toyota did with the 2020s and implement it into their tunes. As I too run the 93, but 1.5 gearlock and it still shifts like a retarded piece of shit. But now it's a retarded piece of shit with more power.

Congrats on getting a new truck. My 19 was made in June of 19 and it must have transmission reprogramming because it runs 6 th gear on I-5 at 70 to 75 and only shifts down to 5 th on hills.
Also has all LED lights. Just lucky i guess. Had i read TW before buying it i still would have because i like the looks and most everything about the truck. Nothing is perfect thats why there are so many after market parts.

Totally happy with my 19, including the auto transmission.

Wish the diff howl wasn't as loud as it is, but thats a relatively minor issue.

These new LED lights a FAR better than a LED bulb in a halogen housing. They are the best headlights I’ve had a vehicle.

Damn, I wish they would price them reasonably so I could retrofit them into my ‘19.

2020 drops the voodoo blue on the pro. That's a huge deal breaker for me. I love that color, looks just like AMCs big bad blue I had on a javelin.

Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.

You were also running 33s versus stock wheels which had a big effect on gearing AND your previous tires weighed 58 lbs each. Most likely this is the big difference you are noticing.

No, I only ran the non-factory tires with OVTune and it was great. I’m specifically talking about this factory program being better than the 2018 program with factory equipment.

With OVtune and 33s the old truck was perfect.

That pic looks like it could be a TV show poster for the Walking Dead. Karen's looking at the crowd of hungry zombies making their way towards her.

Mat actually posted in the OVT Tune thread that he reviewed a 2020 ECU last night and there were no changes to shifting.
