You need to see another higher volume dealer.

It may be limited to some trucks but, it is real. My stock 2020 TRD sport does it. The dealer replaced the rear drums and turned the front rotors which didn’t help. The dealer refused to apply the tsb. I opened a case with Toyota and am waiting to hear from a case manager.

Its strange. When at my last service toyotacare visit i inquired if any issues these trucks might develop to be aware of. As figured they told me none as long as you follow the recommended service in your owners manual. They did say some models such as the trd, sport, and pro have their own unique issues vs your truck being an sr5 manufactured on different lines.

Dealer finally got the parts to do the TSB. Still vibrates and shakes on the highway. Not as bad at 100-110 kph/ 60-70mph any faster and its trying to scramble my brain. Springs were not the problem, they did a software update going to wait a while and see if the deceleration smooths out.

I think I have found a solution, ordered a 2021 off road. The SR5 and the offroad drive way better than the Sport. I would not recommend or buy the sport again .

In march when I took it in I had the lead hand and the service manager come for a drive. They finally admitted that it shook. They kept it for a few days and had a toyota engineer involved. My truck wasn't included in the TSB but toyota recommended it. it took them weeks to get the parts and a day to install.

Don't know how the 2021 off road drives, but my buddies 2019 off road is ok...its got some strange minor oscillating vibration at certain speeds...not a big deal, but you can tell its there...comes and goes when I've ridden in it. He gets annoyed when we take my truck as it has none at all.

my buddy had to drive 3 2019 Limiteds before he found one that didnt vibrate. He bought it, crap, about 5K miles later, started vibrating. Toyota threw all their "fixes" at it. Still vibrated. They told him they didnt have any more cures. He sold it. Vibes on some of these are real. Although my 19 Limited does not vibrate.

Had my dealer's master tech drive my truck during the 5k visit. He confirmed vibration, especially 30-10mph, but said they all do that. He didn't think the TSB would fix it, but they agreed to do it after I asked several times. Been driving for a few days post-TSB and it seem much better. Still slight vibration braking, but much better. It's tolerable now for sure. I even heard the master tech on my dash cam saying "it's definitely less" when he test drove it after the new springs were installed.

OK, it has to do with driveline angles on the U joints that change esp when on coast down, not harmful at all and yes loading the bed with weights may change or lessen it. The bulletin will have the tech check the angle of driveshaft, and add or adjust / shims if nec, to there again, to lessen what you are feeling I can feel it in my 2019 Taco SR5 4 door but knowing what it is and no longer than I feel it does not concern me, kind of like the rear end ring and pinion whine I hear at 50 - 60 mph on level road to coast down. I have learned that like my older truck S10 those may diminish over a period of years and just let it be.

Wish, my stock truck only vibrated on deceleration and not 50-65 m.p.h. highway speeds...

    A few.
Stock tires? Is the steering wheel vibrating? Thats usually the speed range caused by out of balance wheels

Only thing not stock is the O.E.M. bed mat and bug shield. The dealer balanced the rear wheels and said, "this is a Normal characteristic of the Tacoma". It literally numbs my hand and throttle foot hence, I rarely drive over 45 m.p.h. Finding, backed up by the area service rep.

Not normal. Take it to another dealer. Must have bad tire, balance problem, etc. They should be able to diagnose.

Waiting for another dealer to call when a fuel pump comes in and I'll ask them about the vibration but, being the area rep said, there is nothing they can do I'm not hopeful...

I have a 2020 sr and my issues are when decelerating even with not hitting the brake 20-15mph it seems like the tranny is getting rough and slow to downshift .if I just brake as normal then sometimes I get vibration that sometimes feels like rear brakes and sometimes makes ms think im fighting the tranny??? If I brake a little and watch as it comes to 20mph and then wait until it hits 15mph and brake again then its usually smooth ..i also noticed if I shift in sport.mode Nd shift down from 3-2 around 20 mph then it also brakes smooth .i have racked my brain as if its bc the tranny needs a thicker fluid?(pressures etc),if I have an internal tranny problem,or if its drivelije angles etc etc. I already have the leaf apring tsb and it helped but now seems sometimes its starting to get worse again..almost makes me.want to trade the truck in which sucks ..i.if I want to try putting diff leafa in then all I can find is leafa that will give me a lift..if I do that then I got to spend thousands upon thousands to do a lift right..good quality parts.leafs, coils, new shocks(again),uca,1 piece drive shaft, front diff drop ,and of course bigger tires bc no one wants small tires on a lifted truck ...alot of.money to try something and hope it helps...id love to find some good leafs that give no lift .if anyone knows of any (not general or sd springs)id appreciate to know . I asked toyota to hool up the scanner to reas thw pressures etc while its driven to see if anythings going on but they informed me id have to pay for it..just rubbed me the wrong way.i just bought the damn thing and thwir tech already told me he thinks its the tranny so shoulsnt they be trying to diagnose it and not charging me money??? Im about to start a ticket and get a regional rep involved but so far they have never offered me a loaner so I'm gonna have to make sure I have transportation while they look it over..ive been to three dealerships and I am disappointed so far by all of it .some to more pf a defree then theothers .i
also get a weird 4th gear 40-60 light throttle repetitive sounds.goes ermmm ermmm ermmm about every 1.5 seconds .if I take foot off gas it goes away ...sonetimes I think its the exhaust and the reversion of aoubd waves??? And sometimes I wonder if its the transmission...all together I like the truck buT I JUST WANT TP BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO WORK AND NOT HAVE TO WONDER WHAT ANY ISSUES ARE.a brand new vehicle especially a cool vehicle like the tacoma I should be grinning and bragging to my friends about how fucking awesome it is to have one .

after 3 weeks of back and forth, the dealer created a TAS. so now is up to toyota to decide if they want to pay for the TSB. the "meh" thing is that the dealer straight up told me that they do not have any loaners to give me while the repair is done, if toyota approves the expense. whatever I just want this vibration to be reduced or stop all together

Yeah, thats bs. Dealer sounds likes their just washing their hands of any issue. I do know many shops that forever reason have problems balancing tires on a toyota wheel.

The TSB for the 30-10mph driveline vibration? Yes.
