Hey guys, can someone point me in the right direction of location for ECT sensor in 2020 3.5 liter?

I’ve searched everywhere I can think with no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Bryan

edit: my truck has a code of P0128. I’m thinking it’s either ECT sensor or thermostat is bad.

It is on the back of the engine. May need to remove the intake to get there

It's in that stupid plastic coolant bypass pipe on the back of the engine. Manual says you have to remove the intake manifold to get to it.

Service manual. You can find it on here. Highly recommend if you do own wrenching and troubleshooting

Have you had any other work done recently? My friend had his starter replaced, and the shop fucked up a lot of stuff, including leaving a ground wire COMPLETELY loose. They used the wrong bolt and the ground was moving a half inch. This happened to be the exact and only code he was getting and the truck drove like shit, couldn't even make it out of the driveway.

I'm guessing this is NOT your issue, just wanted to throw that out there!

No other work done besides routine maintenance/oil changes.
