    Yep.

Factory tune, 4A61 TSB and all OVtune 1.04 through all 2.0 builds up to 19800.

Like I said, go drive a 2020 for yourself and find out. The drivability of the new trucks has been improved from the 2018.

First of all that's the BMW B58 which is a performance oriented turbo inline 6. I highly doubt this engine is tough enough for a truck tbh.

    Surprisingly, it's been fairly reliable.

Did you test drive before dropping $40K on a new truck?

I have a 2019 Off Road with 15000 miles, and it shifts perfectly. I really enjoy driving it these days. I will say I am driving it a little more aggressive with the throttle so it might be adjusting to me or just me getting used to it lol. But overall I love the truck.

Same. I had less than 100 miles when I put my bigger tires/rims/3" lift on it so I didn't get much experience stock. Right now though it seems fine. I was a little worried about the 285 LTs being too heavy and bogging it down but again, it drives really nice. Only time the transmission feels a little weird is when I stomp on it. Of course I come from a 14 4cyl so the extra power is so much better it might be skewing my view.

I recently purchased 2020 Tacoma Off Road Automatic Transmission, picked it up 1 month ago.

I love everything about it with one BIG exception.

For some reason, when I am at speeds of 40-55MPH and the RPM's are spinning at or slightly above 1000 it feels like the transmission is "jerking" somewhat and does not subside unless I hit the gas and get the RPMs up or increase the speed.

I thought this might be due to how new it is given I bought it with 4 miles on it.

But it has continued and unless my mind is playing tricks on me, seems to have actually gotten worse.

I went to the dealer and they explained that there should be a break in period wherein it "learns" my driving habits. Is this true? Anyone heard of that before?

I have had it approx 5 weeks, 1200 miles on it, and it still continues to do the same thing.

I am taking it approx 600 miles round trip this week to Maine.

I don’t think it’s the transmission . The truck is still tight because of the low milage. Plus think about this ...the motor is turning just around idle RPM and your going 50 MPH. Just out of curiosity fill the truck up with 91 or 93 octane and after about 100 miles let me know how it feels. But only if your comfortable spending the extra money on the difference in gas price.

My 2018 TRD Sport shifts amazing after having TSB-0062-18 preformed. I was initially looking for a manual, however really glad now I bought the Auto.

I can do that. However the salesman at the dealership specifically told me to not use premium fuel since it can cause issues. I hadn’t heard of that ever so I’ve been using 87. I had a BMW before this truck and had to use 93 so I don’t have any issue with the cost.

The person that told you that was severely misinformed. If you run 93, give it at least a whole tank worth or driving for timing to advance. I know running 93 in my 2018 and 2020 was an improvement.

My 2020 OR has noticeably better performance running 91 vs. 87. 91 octane + ECT Mode almost, and I do stress ALMOST, makes me forget about OVTune.

I have a 2020 TRD Pro. I put 17" wheels on running 265/70/17 Wildpeaks. I tried putting in 91 and I didn't notice any difference. What kind of performance improvements are you seeing. I have no issue with the transmission, and I agree with ECT power it's even better. I lost 2mpg from larger tires, but expected that.

I did this, just picked up my 2020 off-road 4x4 from a 19 sport and the shifting seems to be way better. Plus I now have apple car play and my driver seat can sit lower so I don’t feel so claustrophobic in the truck now. No looking back.

It’s the torque converter man. My 19 with just over 6k miles does it too. “Toyota says this is normal”.
