2020 Tacoma, improved auto transmission?

    I had a 2017. The 2021 is much better.

    2021 TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB
    2021 TRD Sport. Built in January ‘21. Transmission is smooth. Holds gears well so far. Haven’t really gotten on it yet as it’s not to 1000 miles quite yet. Have had it at many different speeds highway and city.

    Just rolled over 1100 miles. I drive like a granny and its great. You have to be realistic in your expectations as well, the way this forum talks y'all expect this to drive like a 97 supra.

    I have 0 complaints about my 2021. The trans was a little funky the first bit while it relearned my driving then great.

    I guess if I had one thing I wish was different now, that it switched over the the ECT shift pattern (ECT button) automatically when I put it in 4wd. Had to drive to and from work several times in 4wd now. IMHO ect on is a must on 4wd in the snow.
