I have a 2017 TRD Pro and is interested in doing this conversion.

just to be clear the new LED lights from the TRD Pro 2020 would fit in my truck with the conversion harness?

what are the lamp part numbers for the Pro version ?

    thanks

Been shopping for a new 2020 TRD OR and really wanted Quicksand but with the factory LED headlights. Evidently this is a unicorn as it appears that Toyota does not offer LED headlights on the Quicksand model for 2020.

Dealer I spoke with said that they cannot be added as the wiring harness is different. LED headlights ARE available on other colors of the TRD OR so does JUST the Quicksand model have a different harness? Would be pretty lame if so.

buy the harness from mike and do it yourself . Works perfectly on my 18. Should be the same for 2020 non-led models . 8FFE9AC9-6AD8-4825-87A1-9FE136A46C6D.jpg

Adding the headlights involves tearing into the front end of your brand new truck. Order one with the LED headlights if you have to, they are a steal at $485 and will be covered under your factory warranty if one goes south.

Or just not drop $1200-1300 for headlights...to each their own.

@AusRunner your dealer is blowing smoke up your ass. A quick search on cars.com has plenty of 2020 quicksand OR with led headlights 37622B00-4EB1-4C61-AFA2-E0530B899CBA.jpg1935EB29-B94C-42DB-B239-6B136CE43485.jpg6C742B5C-55E6-49FB-AEF1-45F6B7C2C17E.jpg3F63CE19-37E9-4CA6-8F3C-FF019843F5D4.jpg

Depends on what his region is allocating. Some regions aren’t really allocating LED trucks, tons of loaded TRDs minus the LED package, mine included.

I did check cars.com and did see a few Quicksand OR with LED headlights but each listing has the vehicle's VIN# and when you look it up on https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/vehicle-specification you can see that while the ad lists LED headlights, it did not ship from the factory like that. I know it's common for dealers to use stock photos and description in their ads but when they list the VIN#, you can actually see what the advertised vehicle is equipped with.

Still, I find it hard to believe that Toyota would use a separate wiring harness based on color for the exact same model.

So after a bit of searching, it turns out the 2020 Tacoma TRD OR in Quicksand CAN come with the factory LED headlamps (found one out west!) Damn you Toyota for not making them available in all regions! While I haven't seen the connectors myself, I can only assume that 2020 Tacomas with the LED Headlamp option have a special wiring harness that non LED versions do not. Hopefully Mike's harness will make them plug and play so I'd be interested to hear from someone who has done this to confirm.
