Go to reply #1243 in this thread. There are links to a users review of the lights compared to some other lights.

Since crash posted that he has put together a complete review in post #3 of his 3rd gen lighting thread.

And more recently he has reviewed the morimoto xb v2 which may not have good coverage in that post yet but did outperform OEM LED in peak numbers.

New member and not sure if this is the right thread to post...but I swapped out my Tacoma Halogen Bulbs with Sylvania H11's (bought at AutoZone for $90 USD). Swap took ~5 minutes and the results are sound imo.

I think I was fortunate with my truck lol it has 28K miles (bought used about 6 months ago). JBL sound system, safety package, Bilstein 5100's (installed at factory I assume bc no tool marks), leather seats and sunroof. I plasti-dipped the front bumper, removed the chrome badging, added the Pro-grille/LED low-beams/LED interior (Cali-Raised)/Bed-rack w/molle panels (also Cali-Raised). My next modifications will be completed early-August and include Black Rhino Chamber wheels (matte black), KO2's, Smitty RTT, and Body Armor front bumper w/winch. If anyone has any adjustments/suggestions, I'm all ears. Oh and rock sliders as these runners are mounted the body, not the frame

Might want to start here. Sounds like a great find with some nice mods done. Keep it up!

Cheers, appreciate the insights @Tacospike. I've already utilized a good amount of info from this forum. I'll keep you posted on further modifications/processes

Can someone tell me where these two plugs go? They are same connector, but one has single and other double prongs. New LED should be here in a few days, just want to be ready!

Yes, but the OEM harness is not possible to connect backwards and even if that were possible, it is no problem since halogen bulbs have no polarity.

One goof with the TRS conversion harness on either low or high beam and power goes to ground leading to a blown fuse.

With a single ground, there is no risk of blowing a fuse when connecting with opposite polarity.

Single is low beam, double is high beam. They are also color matched. Red is driver low beam positive. White is driver high beam positive. Blue is passenger low beam positive. Yellow is passenger high beam positive.

black is ground on Mike’s harness. On mine I use white with a black stripe which matches OEM grounds.

The ground for the entire assembly is off the high beam connector so if that is backwards, nothing will work.

also pay attention to the tabs on the male H9 connectors. One is deep and one is shallow. On the female side the OEM connectors have a deep edge and shallow edge. The connectors snap into place such that no tabs are exposed once properly connected.
