How far from the border are you? Seems like for the price of a road trip you could go south to pick them up from a US dealer and nobody would be the wiser? Not like the border patrol is going to have documentation that you left with halogens, yeah?

I'd recommend you order from a Toyota dealer in person or online. They're definitely not cheap, but they're worth it.

The OEM LEDs must be covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty, right? I've been talking to a few dealerships and the salesmen all know nothing. They all seem to think it's just an LED "bulb" in the projector housing. I pulled the trigger yesterday on a certified 2021 with low miles so still under the 36k factory warranty. When I asked specifically if it covers the LED headlights, they said no and pulled up a diagram of the halogen projector housing then started showing me pictures of halogen bulbs and aftermarket LEDs.

If it came with OEM LED's then it should, it's factory offered part. Not an aftermarket installed item, but I'm not too 'up' on warranty items. Never had to deal with warranty work in my life on any vehicle

It’s probably the least likely item to spontaneously stop working once installed and tested. I assume broken tabs wouldn’t be covered as that’s the only thing anyone would want to have coverage for.

I know of one forum member (can't recall exactly who) that had to warranty one of their oem led headlights through a dealer that they bought them from and installed themselves. The dealer swapped the headlight for a new one. It's posted several hundred pages back in what have you done to your 3rd gen today. I think 12 months is the warranty in that scenario. Otherwise, yes 3yr/36k bumper to bumper warranty if they came with the truck when you bought it.

That's what I thought. It's just baffling how most salesmen know so little about what they're selling.

Installed mine today. Pretty easy using the harness from @daveeasa ! Appreciate the spare fender flare clips even though mine are fine.

Where did you order from? If from Sparks, they came in 2 separate boxes and double boxed. I could stand on one of the boxes and probably be safe.

Well this gives me hope, they are from Sparks. Originally they were supposed to be here on the 12th, who knows what took so long.

Here's to hoping you'll be fine! Even the OEM boxes are really well packed for the headlights and the double box adds an additional layer of protection.

Mine arrived this morning. Ordered from sparks, each light came in it’s own box and doubles boxed. Saturday I’ll install and post pics

Perhaps this has been covered, but whats the least intrusive way to tie in an auxiliary circuit to trigger off the highbeam activation? Is there a high/lowbeam fuse as on the models with halogen lamps and a fuse tap would work?
