Might be a a good way to get a sweet open-box discount, people who don’t research and think it’s completely plug and play.

I'm fully on board with you. The last thing I want is a "PRO" logo on my truck when it's not a Pro. I have no issue running OEM Pro parts on my truck, but I refuse to badge it as such.

Can you post the most "chromey" picture of your lights? Like one that shows it with the most chrome (either like a side profile, or a side profile looking down slightly). I think I'm going to go the non-Pro route.

With that being said, for those who have ripped inot these headlights is there any way to disable the light where the "TRD" and "PRO" sit? Like, could you clip a wire on the conversion harness and just put those lights out? I don't think I'd have less an issue with the Pro being etched into the light if it were not illuminated.

Why couldn't have Toyota just gone with HID in the 2017-2019 Pro, so I could buy those and be done with it, without the issues that have been reported with PnP HID kits.

Yeah I'll get it tomorrow, the dark now. The problem with the pro lights is that there is no way to cover the pro part on the lense. You'd have to bake em and take them apart. I wanted nothing to do with that.

See, that's my exact issue back and forth. Either bake to remove the PRO or bake to remove the chrome. Unless there's a way to disable just the PRO.

The pro light is tied into the parking light. Id imagine @MESO could answer that question. I got to imagine you could clip the wires to it, there is an access port on the bottom of the light housing, but I do not know what wiring is actually accessible.

I just didn't see this 3/4" strip being worth the hassle. Luckily my truck is Silver, But I have debadged and replaced the chrome caps on my truck, so i'm certainly not pro chrome.

You can not see it from the front regardless. In the sun, you can't really see the chrome strip due to the housing glare on the side either.

Also sorry for the truck being dirty, it is available to anyone who wants to wash it.

Yes, there is a twist cap at the bottom of the housing. Theoretically you reach in from that hole and unplug the lower PRO light. It’s
Just a harness that plugs into a LED board and projects the light behind the logo.

    best pic I could find

Does anyone know if these LED Headlights have a heater in them to help with the winter time? I’ve heard that some manufacturers have put them in. Not sure how true it is.

I really want increased high beam performance (distance mostly). Can anyone speak about the performance vs the stock halogen projectors?

    No heater.
High beam sucks to be honest. (For an LED compared to stock halogen)

Really? So most people want them just for colour temp and low beam performance? Honestly not sure why so many people are worried about low beams when you can just turn high beams on haha.

What about aftermarket headlights? Any that you recommend for improved high beam and comparable/improved low beams?

There will be a lot of broken ones too. In my case the tabs that were broken during shipping were the ones that hold the Grill. They are not that hard to fix, but I'm not keeping a mended light that I paid a good chunk of money for.

Well after weighing the pros and cons of the 2020 standard LED's vs the 2020 PRO LED's I ended up going with the pro ones just to avoid the chrome trim. I'm not planning to open them up regardless of which one I ended up getting, so the one with the least chrome it was. If the "PRO" illumination bothers me that much, I'll pull the plug MESO suggested. It may say "PRO", but they're just headlights, it's not like you're replacing the badges on your truck with "PRO" ones and claiming it's a "PRO". It's not any different than getting the Pro Rims, the PRO knob, the pro Grill (Which half the universe has), or any of the other PRO items people go for. At the end of the day either one of the new LED lights will look much better than the standard ones, just pick the one you like most and enjoy :).

Is that cap accessible without the headlamps opened up?

I assume this is the twist CAP MESO was referring to. You can access it without opening up the headlight although I don't think it will be too accessible with the headlight mounted on the truck. Sorry for the picture quality, if someone needs a better picture I can take it outside to get a better one.

That's the connector to disable the "PRO" illumination? Sorry for the dumb questions. I could live with the logo etched, but not illuminated and is probably the better compromise. I don't have the headlights in hand (or the funds) at the moment, so I could easily disable when the time comes.

To your earlier point about the badging, you're not wrong about having the PRO parts (I've got the OEM grille, fogs, skid and 2G suspension) but somehow actually seeing the logo...I compare it to having an STI trunk swap and keeping the logo.

That’s the main connector for the DRL side marker and pro. There will be a smaller connector tucked up higher to just disable the logo

In your expert option, is the connector graspable from that access hole (with an appropriate amount of patience, of course).

I’ve baked headlights before with good success, but I really don’t want to do it again.
