Here's an organized way to share what people are paying. Click on the link and enter your data into the next available row in the spreadsheet.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-HcDGHBCkAnWTHAIbJX2kGarMkH_gNVjPYYDQnbrotM/edit?usp=sharing

Fill in as much as you know or want. Please convert to U. S. dollars if needed, using an exchange rate calculator. (It seems like most forum members are in the U. S.?)

Let's see how it handles 2 or more users from being in the file at the same time (hopefully it'll work out somehow). Once you're done, get out quickly for the next user.

As the year unfolds and more data is collected, you can do sorting and filtering to make a better apples-to-apples comparison if you got a good deal or not. By the end of the year, we can do reports with charts and graphs for each trim. If you want to scroll and look at data, sort, or filter, download the file to your own PC first and then exit out of the Google Doc.

If Have any ideas or changes I should make to the columns? Let me know, the sooner, the better.

Good job, unfortunately a deal is not always a deal. What one would pay in Bristol Va from a low volume dealer is quite different than one would pay in Los Angeles Ca from a high volume dealer for the exact truck.
In addition, the guy who buys from a dealer at the beginning of a month is different from the guy who buys at the end of the month from the same dealer.
Lastly, a guy who is horrible at negotiating will pay more than the guy who is a skilled negotiator. What about the guy who cares more about the monthly payment than he does the total cost of the vehicle?

This is all before the trade in is even thought about! Good luck, and remember a good deal for one is a bad deal for another.

Without seeing the total numbers it's hard to say if someone got a deal

Exactly the reason for creating this. But we've only gotten 3 entries so far. I hoped we'd get a lot more participation, but oh well.

Appreciate the effort but there is a lot of missing information that makes it a bit pointless. You would need to know a LOT of other variables. Was it a straight purchase or a trade? What was the interest rate on the loan ? Did it include the Scotch Guard seats and Ceramic Paint Protection? Does the "MSRP" column include the same $$ that is shown in the "add on" column?

Joe buys a 2020 Taco for with a MSRP of $36,000 but has $1,235 of door guard protectors, fabric / paint protection and free car washes.

Most purchasers are payment buyers and care less about the total cost. Again, appreciate the effort, but it seems reasonably useless and a bit clunky. Hey, you asked!

    Buying lower tip?
Get a emailed quote from a dealer and email another dealer. Give them a screenshot and ask them to beat that. They emailed their quote. Just take each quote dealer to dealer for lowest price. Also February/March is usually the best time to get a great deal with tge most inventory.

Find a vehicle and start haggling!

Im still waiting on mine to come into dealership but its pretty much a done deal. (Hard being patient for the color I want!). Ill go ahead and add mine. Just a lowely SR but pretty excited for it. Probably could have got a little better deal but this is the only one in the color and build I wan't in the area. Next closest one is like 200 miles away and they are beating it by $100 and also have the cheapest doc fee of all dealers in the area. So im happy.

Not like when we got our SR5 premium 4runner last year. Almost every dealer had a matching one with specs we wanted. Got like 15% off MSRP. That was sweet.

Nice spreadsheet! I like how column “L” shows the discount off MSRP as a percentage.
