I've been looking at all the videos I can find on how to wire up the raptor lights so that when you turn your DRL on, they lights would come on and stay on all the way up through being on with the headlights.

It seems from one video that this is not possible because if you wire it to the DRL fuse, the lights turn on as soon as you turn the truck on, even if the DRL are off.

Has anyone figured out how to get this to work?

    Thanks!

    Larry

Because the DRL FUSE is always "hot"...and if you use the green wires of the DRL circuits to the lamps, they turn OFF when headlights are selected.

I used this video to wire my raptor lights up.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=41&v=YRbzCK66oko&feature=emb_logo

I built the harness like is showing in the video. At first I decided to splice together the DRL (pink) wire with the harness, plugged everything in, the raptor lights wouldn't work when turning DRL on. I had built the 2 wire harness as shown in the video and then I also spliced in the lights on (green wire)(I don't have Auto ~ I didn't know I had to buy a premium package to get that). The raptor lights now work with DRL on all the way up through headlights on. Thanks for the video! The hardest part of this was finding all the wire splicing things (Walmart) and the other things (AutoZone).

R4T harness is legit...I made it for them:)
FYI, it powers the raptors in both DRL mode AND Parking light mode. This is tricky because each of those circuits turns off when the other is on.

There was a mention in the video about if you have a 2020 with LED lights it wouldn't work. More specifically if the DRL was a U shaped light. I don't think mine is U shaped (will look tomorrow). My DRL goes across the bottom and up the side, kind of like an 'L' if you are standing in front of the vehicle looking at the left light.

I'm not sure what that last reply represents, a cheaper solution to a plug-in? I did confirm that the LED DRL lights don't go all the way around the headlight (bottom, side and top) like a U, but it does cover the bottom and the side. So I guess depending on what you call a 'U', the harness actually won't work on the 2020 TRD Sport.

Ok, mine definitely doesn't look like that. I have 4 wires red, pink, green, ground. My DRL light is also different.

    Thanks!

You are correct, 3 wires. Tried to take a picture but in the dark phone in one hand wires in the other, head in the way, lightning outside...decided it wasn't worth it.

Pink, Green and what looks to be white/black....and my two splices.

So, in summary, that harness should actually work on my Sport because I don't have those types of LED lights.

Every single post of yours and I learn something I didn't know. Fountain of knowledge! Thank you for bringing this up, I had missed it in the other 50 some threads on this topic.

So it seems a $50 harness for a $20 set of led's is the right way to go. I suppose if MESO designed it I must consider it.

I know I would have. I was sweating bullets thinking my splice would clip one of those wires and all hades would break loose from my wife!
