Yes. High pressure only. I told them it runs rough and has stalled at all times..startup, idling, cruising, accelerating, name it. Seems to do it only after it’s been running. Never done it while cold. Both times it threw the same low pressure fuel code. Not sure what code it threw this time. Just dropped it off. Got the same Camry loaner LOL. Starting to drive this more than my truck

Absolutely the least reliable vehicle I’ve ever had in over 30 years of driving. It’s totally amazing to drive, but Toyota doesn’t have a handle on the technology just yet. Almost like they got over their skis on the tech.

One would think with as many of these things on the road that there would be more info on things like this.

A 3.5 hour wait at the dealer, yes I had an appointment, while my alignment was being checked I seem to think that engine oil changes, rotations are the most profitable and..... EVERY Woman got the "Ma'am your battery is on its way out, for $139 we can install our best one in it for you" ...funny... none of the Men had any battery issues...hmmmmmm

So far...our 2020 TRD Pro has been good with 5k on the meter. One issue being the left front frame to body mount wearing through and making a horrid squeeking noise. I fix'd that one on my own, no offense any dealer mechanics...

Knocks on cranium.....evil codes stay away....

Just batteries? No dirty air or cabin filters?! Those are always a quick sale as well.

Update..Toyota visit #3...I’m told that Tacoma’s have a problem with the low pressure fuel pump overheating and shutting down. Dealer is replacing the low pressure pump, although lead time could be a while. Looks like I’m rocking this Camry for a while.

Every single time I’ve had a windshield replaced the guy at the counter has my cabin air filter on the counter telling me they’ve never seen one that bad “we can replace that for you”. Next time I have to have one replaced I’m gonna put a note on top of the filter that says “F*ck off”

They don't look at them. I had just replaced mine before I went in for my 10k maintenance and when finished they recommended replacement... I played dumb and said oh really is it that dirty? And the SA said oh yeah then I said "that's funny I just replaced it last week and he smiled and said" then I guess we shouldn't replace it huh? I just grabbed my keys and walked out

My 2019 TRD OR did the same thing. Had to have it towed to the dealership, showed low fuel pressure when it was acting up and it ended up being a bad fuel pump. They replaced it and only had it for a day. Guess I was lucky there and they already put my name on the list for when the updated recall ones come in.

Repair #4 on the brand new Tacoma. This is unbelievable. I have had both the high pressure fuel pump and low pressure fuel pump replaced and it broke down again today. I’ve had it back from the shop exactly three days after it was in the shop for seventeen days and it’s broke again. I have no idea what to do next. Any help is appreciated. I’m really out of ideas.

Forget that Camry. Seriously ask for a loaner Tacoma until they get yours fixed. That's just dangerous driving that one.

Agree it’s dangerous. This time it stalled in a Costco parking lot and was towed. Found out it’s a lot harder to push a Tacoma that a Civic, that’s for sure. The service writer drove out and picked me up - even he couldn’t get it started. I’m not sure which was the most dangerous of the stalls, but they’ve all been scary. (It’s really strange that sentence - I have to now rank my stalls in order of near disasters.) I got a highlander this time. At least it has a receiver hitch. I had to disassemble my bike to get it in the Camry. Now I can at least haul my bike again. I’ve really lost faith in Toyota. I hope no one else out there ever has to deal with this and that’s why I’m sharing this - maybe it’ll help someone else.

I read through all the posts. Sorry you're having such issues.

I have a 2020 SR 4x4. It does idle a bit rough but I have also been driving a E Class Mercedes for the last 10 years so my butt maybe a bit spoiled.

As far as your Taco goes it's time to start the Lemon law process. In Indiana it's 4 attempts or having the vehicle out of service for more than 30 business days.

    You're tacoma more than qualifies.

Thanks. I’m starting to document all the dates now. This the 4th trip for the same problem, although it’s only been 27 days (!!) in the shop. The funny thing is that it does store trouble codes. Toyota just can’t fix it.

I would maybe start to compose a letter to Toyota Corporate, be respectful (for now) and document in your own words what has happened over the past few weeks. Don't sound like an attorney just give them the facts as you have lived them.

They may just take the truck back and give you a new one. At this point you have a basically have a Lemon.

Well you gotta figure that Toyota sells millions of Tacoma's, one or two is bound to fall through the cracks.

Lemon laws are there to protect consumers for just this scenario.
