Did anyone else notice at 13:28 in the video above about transmission programming? He mentions the 2019 models getting updated, I wonder if there are any differences between the 19 and 20 models but that is what it seems like. Mentions changes to pedal mapping as well, not sure if that was part of the 2019 models as well.

Chief engineer talks about changes to the software gear
Yeah sounds like some further refinement by the way he described it. More pedal sensitivity and less gear hunting.

I'd like to see the 4.6L Lexus engine as an option. 329 lb-ft @ 3,500 and 301 HP. Requires premium fuel and only gets 16 combined MPG in the heavy as shit GX. Would probably do better in a lighter Tacoma. I'd be very tempted to go for that option if it were offered without being tied to a ton of other options I might not want.

I didn't know. Army green color. This is it. I hope it's not a "Pro-only" color.

Yes, pro only as with all of the new colors Toyota introduces. Down to the other models in 2021 probably.

For 2020 it is, 2021 will likely be on the other trims as has been the pattern.

Since they started the Pro it will be Pro exclusive for the 2020s and available for other trims starting in 2021.

The pro gets body colored flares that look better... yes. I'm joking that its following style cues from the Sport.

Ok now I've seen 2020 pros with black fender flares and color matched. Both look good but I wonder if it will be an option?

Historically I think they've been black, so that'd be my guess to what they'll do. The color match is probably just a one off that got done on a prototype.

    Hello everyone,

I don't know where to begin but I joined TW because I have a 2002 Lexus GS300 and a Scion tC. They are both reliable and I love Toyota. I am now stationed in Virginia and hear that snow season can be brutal so I am planning to give up the tC and get a brand new 2020 Tacoma. I am leaning towards cavalry blue, super white, or cement after looking at the 2019 Tacomas. I know that prices aren't out for the 2020 Tacoma but I'm hoping to get a TRD sport for 40k or below out the door.

The best part of the video, if anybody watched it, was how they addressed the mapping/ shifting complaints other customers had. The 2020 is basically tuned better in regards to shifting.
