Okay lol, just wanted to make sure as some here thought it was, that was a whole fun thread debate. I think its a great color, I mean I wasted $2.5k to have mine PPF'd and ceramic coated when I was in AZ I was so in love lol.

Yeah I have frequented the local dealerships here in PA just to make sure that I like the color over time.

I am sure that was a fun and amusing thread.

I love the Cement color and don't care if others do as well. I don't need a special snowflake color to feel unique. Get what you will like and don't let others dictate it to you! Got a 2019 in Cement and will be likely trading it in for a 2020 in Cement (for a few reasons including the upgrades).

Also, maybe it is different being on a base or just the general area, but I don't see that many Tacomas around and no more specifically of Cement than any other color around my location (MN).

It is. AZ/CA/HI are Tacomaworld in real life, Midwest not so much. I moved back home and I rarely see another Tacoma everyday. In AZ, at least 8-10 everyday. For instance, AZ dealer's tend to keep 80-100 plus Tacomas in stock at any given time, my dealer here has 20.
And I feel you but Cement is sort of a "snowflake" (as you put it) trendy color lol, I had one and still think it looks great, just not for me, but I get bored easy too, this will probably be my last Tacoma, sort of burnt out on them, unless the 4th gen is something spectacular.

None, its not that big of a change, pretty much the same truck, average person wont be able to tell the difference between a 2019 and 2020 or care, just us weirdos here. They'll be small updates for 2021, 2022, 2023, etc. Always a "reason" to trade / upgrade.

Nope not at all. I was disheartened by the chipping problem. I already own a vehicle that every one and their mother owns.

There’s a few threads about it if you search. But 9 Tacomas and multiple gens, they all chip easy.

Yeah. Not too worried about it. I plan to keep it for 10-15 years regardless. It is nice to know though. That way I can keep an eye out for if/when it does chip. My Subaru has a couple of bigger chips on the hood. We go on a lot of road trips so I think that is just the way it is. Highways = chips

It was a snowflake color for sure when it was exclusive to the Pro and maybe for the next year when it was generally available, but nowadays it is pretty much just standard. It's not even unique to Toyota as I see many brands with the flat grey color around town. Doesn't mean I can't enjoy mine!

I’m not picking on the new Tacoma exclusively because many brands are doing the squinty headlight look, but it looks like a white person’s racist impression of an Asian person. I can’t un-see it.

Or just pointing out your lame post trying to call people out and pointing out the obvious. No sweat here or ego to be had, too old now, lots of modded trucks/vehicles/bikes and too much money spent playing that game when I was younger.

True. It’s been around awhile even before the Tacoma, versions of it have been an FCA color for awhile, Subaru, Audi, Ford, etc. Toyota has had it on Scions and FJs. Still one of my favorite colors of all time along with Mojito, lightning blue and avalanche grey.

Let’s be honest most of us are hardwired to make our trucks unique, kind of the whole TW thing, I’m willing to bet most will admit it can definitely be frustrating when you see similar trucks or one off builds all around (cement with black wheels, etc.), part of that is the taco community growing so I get it too.

True, you could always do xpel or suntek PPF partial front like I did to help with chips, 10 year warranty and could barely tell it was there. Here is when I did my Cement, dont have picture of the partial front, but here's the rocker panels.

There is always a risk of model year remorse.

When I bought my 2017 it was March 17 and there was no reliable info on the 18's. The 18's wound up being late, December IIRC, but they had TSS. Although I know many here are not fans of TSS. It was and is something I would like on my Taco. Hell, I bought the trim I did for the safety features it had equipped. I bought in year 2 of the gen and was going to wait for year 3 or 4 but my 1st gen needed a cash transfusion to stay looking sharp and driving well. The infusion of cash would not have gained me more than a couple 1000 if that on sale/trade; so the decision was made for me by the old Taco and the wife.

Now the 20's will come with a "better" HU, LED lighting, power seats, and TSS..... it is tempting to trade in. I will however wait.

Who knows what will happen with the 2021, 2022, and 2023?

Or really when Gen 4, a hybrid (which I think it very likely in the near future) will happen. My 2017 will carry me several years without needing and costly PMs.

The Voodoo Blue is growing on me. Do you have any details on this picture? Just wondering if the TRD Sport wheels are the same, and when we might see an order guide for the 2020 MY.

Sorry only the picture. I asked the guy who took it if he can take one of the wheels, since I heard the sport is getting updated wheels. August you should see specs for allocations on MY20 and they should start showing up on lots late August-Early September but the 18s were a bit late so who knows.
