My wife just got a brand new car and I'm totally jealous of that cruise control. I use cruise everywhere I go and that would just make it more gravy.

Her car just vibrates the steering wheel for the lane warning, and not enough. It's pretty useless too. I can barely feel it at highway speeds.

Anyway, the emergency braking thing has likely saved me a lot of headaches. I've only had it in rentals, so driving in heavy traffic in strange cities...I'm very happy it had it. I really don't want to buy a shitty pathfinder rental car because I broke it LOL

Yeah I don't think the steering wheel is the best place for people to feel it. My wife's GMC Yukon vibrates the seat and I think works well. I agree the braking works well, you just need to find the right setting that works. In major cities with dense traffic is can sometimes be over sensitive to whats going on around.

I'm not too concerned about the recall. I'm certain the 2020 will come with the updated parts (if that was the fix).
I thought you could get the sensor recalibrated after a lift? And think I've seen where you could reposition a sensor, like swapping from a standard grille to Pro for instance. Of course, I can't find the threads anymore because they move so fast on this website. One day they're on the first page, the next they're on the 5th. But TSS is all new to me so I could have misread the threads.

So are the 2020 going to get entune 3.0? Be nice to roll down the windows from inside the "office" or remote start.

I've never experienced driving a TSS Toyota, or Tacoma. I don't think TSS is terrible on a passenger car. I have experienced auto braking on other vehicles, and wouldn't want to experience auto braking on my RC Tacoma.

Plus it's a Tacoma you get stupid in a Tacoma, it don't take much to roll it on it's side.

The part I'm more curious about is in an offroad setting. Since TSS needs to get up to speed to kick in if you're gunning it on an unpaved area and it sees an adjacent boulder or tree how it registers that in the system to brake or not brake.

I had my last truck that was lifted recalibrated. Not all dealers will do it and some will make you sign a waiver.

My money is TSS is based on an algorithm to help determine what vehicles and people look like (when it comes to the camera) and the radar would probably detect everything but not sure how it would affect driving...

Kind of. The regular Tech package was just that Tec, while the premium has everything the "tech package" has plus the JBL, sun roof, leather and some other goodies. At least that's how I understood it.
That's when you turn it off. No big deal.

You'd hope so and I don't mean to sound like the foil hat guy, but it's all under the guise and mystery of not sharing details of a proprietary system. Where it says:
"48. Driver's are responsible for their own safe driving. Always pay attention to your surroundings and drive safely. System effectiveness is dependent on many factors including road, weather, and vehicle conditions. See Owner's Manual for additional limitations and details."

So does anyone know when a truck can be allocated with actual packages and pricing?

200% agree. I used to have an 80 series land cruiser (~26 years old) and I can tell you the power seats don’t last and it becomes a huge pain to adjust.

Sounds like some people have been getting some information from dealers, anyone have an idea of what new colors for 2020 and what was dropped?

Obviously army green for the pro, it sounds like voodoo for non-pro models. What color is dropped if any?

Ah ok, didn't know if the CarPlay/android auto was just going to be added to the existing entune.

For car play to work do you have to plug the phone in? Is there a wireless feature like entune that hooks up by bluetooth?

Does anyone know if entune 3.0 in the 2020 will support remote connect?
