I’m confused, here in Oregon the dealer says we won’t see him till the middle of October. Seems strange of California is already getting a couple of them that we wouldn’t at least see one. I like that new grill, and for me at 2020 is a must because I’m 6’4” and that power seat will help.

So I am not looking to buy until next April. Hopefully by then I will be able to negotiate a little more off on one of these but looking at the prices I may end up just going for a Pro. I was dead set on TRD Off-Road but with what they cost now I may reconsider. Also has anyone ever used Costco to get a car? As it stands right now a 2020 Pro is listed at 44k invoice on their site.

I'd say that's not bad. I ran the build program on an OR and Pro. OR very well equipped with just about everything except the little do-dads available, had list of 46,525 and the Pro was at $48,796. Maybe they'll deal a bit more on the OR, but for about 2k difference, the Pro looks like a better deal. FWIW, a 4Runner TRD OR nicely equipped (not everything) comes in at $45,047. I've I were in the market, I think I'd look really hard at the 4Runner.

If you truly want fully loaded, there is a level above the Tech package. There is the Advanced Tech package that include the panoramic view monitor/360 camera and is more expensive and that is why others were seeing higher prices package deals that you. If you want that, be sure you don't miss out on it.

Also, that wasn't really much of a quote was it? Looks like just straight up MSRP.

For some reason here when you configure a long bed you can’t do the advanced.

That's the boat I am in with Taco vs 4R. I want a long bed if I go truck but fully enclosed without the need of an expensive shell is nice for the 4R. I need to find a dealer with a nautical blue 4R on the lot so I can see if I like the color since voodoo blue is gone.

That depends on the area you have selected, it's available for sure. I hate their location based configurator. You could use Costco auto to config it, it has all the option no matter where you add from.

Here's a better list of the loaded packages. I did go through the configurator and selected a Sport with DCLB AT 4WD. Might just be none available in your area with the packages so they don't show up. The build tool is a pain in that way. But if you are custom ordering you should be able to get these if you want them.

I have a question that I don’t think anybody’s answered, is the Apple CarPlay going to be wireless?

I don't think so. If it was, they'd make a bigger deal of it, I would imagine. BMW is the only OEM I can think of offhand that has that, and from what I've heard does not work very well.

I think some aftermarket head units support wireless CP and AA, but hasn't gained much traction from manufacturers yet. Probably because they don't want to support people who use it and have issues.

No. It's been covered at some point, but I couldn't point you to where.

The only reason I asked was my wife just got a new BMW X1 but it is finicky anytime she touches her phone it goes straight to Apple CarPlay

So my dealer is telling me that they are not able to order the TRD Pro. They called it "Preferencing" and said certain Pro's will be allocated to their dealership but they can't pick and choose (at least not this early in the release). Does that sound right?

That's what my local dealer said. I've been talking to a sales guy for months and he let me know as soon as they were notified of their first allocation which happened to be what I wanted (AG Pro). Once they had an allocation they allowed me to put a deposit on it (yesterday).

I think trying to get all of that data to transfer w/o error via bluetooth is a challenge. I'd love to have CarPlay, but when I think of it, most of my driving these days is short trips. To the gym, to the Lowes etc. I think I'd end up just turning the radio on and listening to the local sports talk shows. As long as my phone will connect via BT for calls I'm pretty okay with having to plug it in when I do want CP for longer trips. YMMV.

That's what I want too. I'm nervous about the AG but I think it will look cool - especially with all back lettering and stickers

I'd like to see it first...and if I don't like it, use my deposit to get something else.

The 4285 is the Premium by itself.

What you are seeing is 5570 for:
    -Sport Premium
    -LED headlights
    -Tech pkg.

LED are 485 and Tech is 800

It's all jacked up. Southeast Toyota's configurator has it as an Accessory. Under Wheels.:notsure:

That nautical blue looks pretty dark in the picture. Darker than the Blazing Blue.
