It’s the BackFlip mx4. Love it. had the revolver first which was too complex for it’s own good, IMO. This is great. Not waterproof but good enough and looks slick.

Which part was too complex for you?

Step 1a) Open the tailgate. (Special Note - If the tailgate is locked, you will have to unlock it first)
Step 2a) Pull the cover lock release cord on either side to disengage the locking mechanism.
Step 3a) Roll the cover towards the cab.
Step 4a) Optional - Secure the now rolled up cover with the supplied quick release straps and adjust to tighten as needed.

    To close the cover.......

    Step 1b) Release the straps.
Step 2b) Roll the cover towards the tailgate.
Step 3b) Push down on each corner of the cover at the tailgate to engage the locking mechanism.
Step 4b) Optional - You can either leave the tailgate open or closed for Step 3b above.

The biggest Con I see with any of the hinged, large panel folding covers is that they rest against the cab and block the rear window. Otherwise they are great.

You should have looked for the Bak X2 Revolver Classes near you.

Here's a guy that shows how to do it in less than 15 seconds. For both opening and closing.

Where ya at? I'll be selling mine shortly. Well, honestly, I can sell it now. I took it off my truck in preparation for the new one (trucks) but will not install it if someone is interested, or I wind up with the mandatory short bed. :D

It's almost invisible from the side.

    20180922_144225.jpg

Unless I can trade it for a high rise cap or a soft topper I am going to sell it if I get a short bed. Depending on that, if I get a Long Bed again I am going to keep it for a while.

Just found out the actual build of my truck started on Monday, and I was told it’s probably 4-6 weeks from that point for delivery. Then the fun begins!

I also have the Bakflip MX4 on mine. Had one on my 2016 Tacoma as well. For me, the MX4 is the best for my situation because it is a hard cover, is low profile, allows for full bed access, and you can still use the factory bedrail system (although not with all OEM accessories like the bed divider). The factory bed rail system is re-mounted an inch lower with this tonneau system.

I had also considered a Diamondback, but decided against it in the end mainly for cosmetic reasons (I really wanted something low profile). I didn't really have the need for such a sturdy tonneau as that anyway. There are a lot of great tonneaus out there. It just comes down to specific use case scenario, how much you want to pay, etc. I don't see any of them as "the best one". It's what is best for your situation.
