Sorry, it was $289 at the dealer. I almost got taken! lol I see it's $169 on the Toyota site.

I think the cost of the add-on on Toyota's site is just for the part, but then you probably have to pay the dealer more since it includes the labor for them to put it in also. At least I'm guessing that is where the difference in cost comes in.

Just ordered the Hondo knobs for the radio. Hopefully they fit- they may have well just used the odometer reset knob!

It says it's a "Genuine Toyota Accessory" and the Tundra has four or five Toyota PN's for its kit (all plug and play with an actuator), but I can't find the Tacoma OE kit or part numbers anywhere. Sounds fishy.

You and I? Well you and I are just special little snowflakes. There really aren't many of them. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what was currently in the inventory, but it could change tomorrow, eh.

I think it’s an SR5 issue. Mine had it from day one.

I wouldn't recommend pop-n-lock as it is loud when locking per Tacoma owners. I had the dealer ordered the OEM power tailgate lock for me for $169 and it is here but I haven't picked up.. The problem is the Toyota tech guys don't know how to install it on-site yet. I am still waiting for a phone call from them to bring my truck in b/c I would love to pay ~$289 to have a quieter OEM add-on.

I thought that was or it was once a port installed option and basically the pop and lock, must have added that to the 2020s / accessory catalog.

You can actually order the power tailgate lock through the dealership if you have the part number PK3B6-35JS0 (DCSB) or PK3B6-35JL0 (DCLB).
