night and day. Had a 2016 that I put LED low and high beams I got from his kit pros and the 2020 setup blows them out of the park

Nope. I've owned several other vehicles that don't do this. It's not just a "safety thing". It's simply a Toyota design choice for how they implement remote start. Instead of dealing with an electronic lock on the transmission (as my Jeep has so you can't shift it until you press START after entering with remote start on).....Toyota has chosen to do the door shutoff thing. It's not a big deal at the end of the day, but it's not like this feature can't be safely implemented while keeping a remotely started vehicle running. Several other manufacturers do it.

Speaking of the LED headlights, there was discussion about how they might be a disadvantage in colder climates because they don't get warm enough to melt snow/ice on them. Now that people have had them in the 2020s for a bit and we've got some snow storms, anyone noticed anything or found it to be a hindrance?

No issues in the NE whatsoever. The face of the headlights is so steep that even it I don't wipe off the snow, as soon as I start driving, it falls right off. Never even considered this as a concern.

Anybody else notice that build sheet for 2020's w/ the led package says black bezel led fog lights but they are actually chrome? Thinking about swapping them out for the tundra led fogs in an ongoing effort to eliminate all chrome from the truck.

This is why my next vehicle won't be a tacoma. I don't need a vehicle that drives itself because I'm lazy.

Or you could've had a TRD OR 10k in mods and 10k in your pocket?

Never looked that closely but now I'm kinda interested. Can someone with a 2020 with the LED upgrade (and not a Pro) take a picture of their fogs?

What does the Tundra's look like? Interested to see how they compare too.

Also, you could try to get a set of the Rigid fogs they put on the Pros, if you don't like the look of the normal ones and want to stay OEM. They occasionally go up on the market from people replacing their bumpers and such.

Believe they are. I really dig the Rigid pro fogs but they can be spendy and I'm not a fan of knock offs. I had the Morimoto's on my 2018 and liked how they looked but wasn't crazy about their performance.

I sense that you are hot and cold... Do you have any other pictures of your truck since you bought it?

no. it's black plastic. the housing looks like the black plastic housing I had on the 2016 OR fogs, just LED instead of incandescent. maybe it's chrome on the limited.

I was ready to sign on the dotted line on a White '19 Pro back in January. The deal didn't feel quite right and I'm glad I waited. The Army Green had me at hello. I hope you don't regret your color choice!
