    Correct. They're out now.

However, they were NOT out while the new 2020 Taco was actually in development. The dev cycle for these vehicles is a lot longer than just a month or two...

Only thing that will send me running to the dealership is Turbo/Diesel/V8. That's literally it. Other than that, I'm in it for the long haul.

With so many shifting complaints it might make sense for them to put the 8 speed in. I’ve been thinking that for a while and don’t know why they didn’t to begin with. But it’s Toyota we are talking about here. They like to keep it simple and cheap. Don’t expect much.

I think you’ll see car play and android auto. Maybe an 8 speed tranny, or a different gear ratio. Probably an extra USB port. Maybe a few minor cosmetic changes besides the new headlights (probably only offered with a trd package) Interior cloth changes if they didn’t change that on the 18-19’s. Other than that, that’s probably about it.

I feel like that's the size of an old F150. Could just be in my head.

8 speed transmission, that will get folks fired up when that is shifting all the time.

The Ranger is smaller than the current Tacoma

And the current Tacoma seems as big as the first Tundras. Again it may just be in my head.

Toyota would need at least a year's lead time from when they know or have a good idea what the Ranger's specs were until we see the changes in actual trucks.

I'm sure they always have at least the next 3 year's changes already planned and able to be executed, no matter what the competition does.

Right, I think we are similar in size to the old T-100s, prior to the Tundra

Biggest change will obviously be the lower front part of the car. Instead of an underbite, it will sit more flushed with the front.

    My prediction.

I’ve driven numerous 10 and 8 speed trannies and all have been a lot smoother then the one in my taco. You normally don’t even know they are shifting and they hold gear fine. Even the Toyota 8 speed in the highlander is super smooth and doesn’t feel anything like the Tacoma’s.

    Rear disk brakes...

    Now that’s a bold prediction
