2020 Tacoma TRD Sport not starting

Is anyone having issues with their 2020 Tacoma electrical system? I have gone through two batteries in six months and Toyota claims the electrical system is fine. Today is 2nd time my taco was dead

Is your truck stock?

 

Do you perhaps have an aftermarket device that is drawing power while the truck is sitting?

 

if you have electrical modifications,,,, any at all, start there. Even down to a USB ports, phone/accessory chargers etc.
Ad to that, any repairs that were done? You/they could have mucked something up too.

Also note that a dead battery doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with the battery. However, running a car battery down too far will shorten its life.

Perform a draw test with a multimeter that measures amps.

 

does it sit around most of the time, and/or get driven on shirt drives?
New work from home, cold, short drives seem to be tough on newer vehicles that like to perform checks and ping aliens while you sleep.

Honestly, you could have just had bad luck with two batteries, they have been known to be hit or miss at times. I would still look for a parasitic draw that's draining the battery.

 

I’ve been going through this exact issue for the past two years and 5ish batteries with my Honda Odyssey. I’ve given up and I’m going to dump it for a Sienna probably.

 

Are they giving you a new battery each time or just putting it on a charger?

Might be worth sourcing a battery from somewhere else. If that battery croaks then you have more data.

 

My buddy bought the Platinum (or whatever the el capitone edition is) for his wife/family and they had various electrical gremlins. A different buddy is a Honda tech said there is a connector or two buried somewhere that was stretched or compromised (I can't remember exactly) BUT the repair hasn't officially been approved by Honda,,, that was earlier this year though, I am not current, as they gave up and dumped it too.
