First time pickup owner. First time 4WD owner.
Just joined TW. Planning first use of the truck to haul some stuff using my HaulMaster 4x8ft trailer. Figure the first step is get the weight calculations checked. I check out Certificate Label on the driver side. Then check the owner manual. Attached are photos of both.
Q1: The statement on far left of the Cert Label says occupants + cargo should not exceed 990lbs. How does that square with the entry on same Cert Label which cites GVWR is 5600lbs?

Q2: From the onwer manual, I see for my model code GRN305L-PRTSHA the GCWR 11,240lbs and TWR 6,400lbs. GCWR is Gross Combination Weight Rating which is not the same as GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). Right?

    Great article! Very straigthforward.

On Question 1, I get it now - GVWR includes the truck curb weight. GVWR minus the payload rating of 900lsbs = 4,700lbs curb weight.

On Question 2, the article explained to me perfectly.

I found this TA thread (don't know why it didnt show in my searches ) and its a good read too.
