I just picked up a new 2020 Limited double cab 4x4 and after looking at the steering wheel the wrap cover is not glued down in one spot and a slight imperfection in another area. How difficult is it to replace the steering wheel? I don't want to to it if the dealer does not get the new one installed correctly, with the air bag and all the controls. Thanks!

Wow, excellent thanks. Not worth replacing if the dealer was going to not replace correctly. Does not look too bad...

It is pretty straight forward. There isn't anything that they should mess up, but anything is possible. It is a steering wheel, not a geospatial satellite designed to go to Mars.

Didn't have pics of the imperfections but toyota agreed to change the steering wheel out. The new one is much better BUT steering wheel may be off from center a little. Seems like when going straight my wheel is just off to the right. I knew this might happen and almost didn't have the garage change it out. Shoot...thought that the wheel might be keyed to prevent this from being an issue. The replace steering wheel video was a help thanks!

Do you mean "to the right" as in shifted laterally on the column, or "to the right" as in rotated to the right? If the latter that's more likely an alignment issue.

Don't think it's wheel alignment issue as was fine when dropped off, only 800 miles on it. It's slight but when they put the new steering wheel on may not have been installed quite straight...like if the column was at 12:00 the steering wheel is at 12:05...I'll have them check the alignment next time at the garage. Thanks for the feedback!
