We have a 2020 TRD Off-Road (5' bed) that we're prepping for a Scout Yoho, to be picked up late May. The only outstanding item on our list is preparing the truck bed with proper anchor points, but we're having a hard time finding information regarding our specific model. We already have bed stiffeners installed, which take care of anchor points towards the tailgate. This thread looked like it was going to be helpful, but then I realized the frame bolts are set wider than on our model. We did some measuring and our frame bolts are about 40" apart, while the Yoho measures 41.5" on the bottom. So it seåems the Yoho will cover those bolts, making them useless to us. Does anyone have a 2020 who faced a similar issue? Any insight or advice would be super appreciated. Here's what we're looking at:

Thank you for the photos! Scout advised us that those anchors aren't up to snuff, as they recommend using anchors that are lower/on the bed. Would be very convenient to just be able to use them, though lol.

Besides anchor/mount points(factory points are rated for 450lb max EA), have you upgraded the leaf springs? The factory leafs are weak, and you will not enjoy the truck/camper combo unless you upgrade to a set rated for 750-1k lb over stock(camper is just shy of 1k lb empty!)Deaver/National Spring/ Icon have some options. Trans cooler(if not equipped) is highly recommended too due to the weight, a regear(4.88 or 5.29) and tune will also make the truck drive correctly with that camper setup. Shocks are also a consideration, as factory shocks are designed for a mainly empty truck, with the added weight they will likely overheat/lose dampening ability quickly(truck will “porpoise” or buck due to overheat). Expect fuel mileage to be around 10-12 with the camper(depending on how much camp gear is loaded too).
Sorry for the long post, i just wanted to put out the issues people have when adding a “enclosed camper” to a 1/4 ton truck. Lots of things to consider when adding that amount of weight to these trucks.

Thank you for taking the time to lay out all of this information. We did add a leaf a couple years back, and just installed new Firestone Ride-Rite airbags. Regearing and brakes are on our to-do list in the near future.

The AAL may help initially(wont retain spring arc), but i would strongly suggest upgrading from the factory pack, even with airbags(due too weight being on truck majority of the time). I run AAL and firestone “ride rite” bags, i have a camper shell and tow a 1200lb camper trailer, i run mine at 40PSI to make everything roll down the road smoothly. I am upgrading my leafs now to make the truck more planted while driving.
