Fan speed is relative to available heat or cooling. It's only going to blow hard enough to make use of the heat it has to work with at the moment. The truck has to idle longer to warm up to what you're expecting and it won't warm up too quick at idle. Vehiclea are worlds better these days though about warm up times. It's actually for emissions purposes, the sooner your get to operating temp, the sooner you enter closed loop fuel control, the cleaner you can run. It's one side effect of emissions control that people don't whine about.

Other notes: the heated seats will remain on the last setting, so when you hop out the night before, remember to set the seat on and temp to hot and defrost on before you kill it. Plus, any load on the engine will make it work harder and heat up faster, no matter now minor or negligible the effect may be.

Ya, I usually let my vehicles warm up for about 15 minutes before I jump in, by then the windows are about 70% defrosted and I can see well enough to drive. I might just buy one of those windshield frost covers so it does not need to warm up much. I am very happy it has seat warmers!

False. The Honda Ridgeline does have active lane keep assist. As much as we like to deride it as a "truck", people do tow trailers with it.

A salesman is a salesman. Mine has an active trailer sway control system and no steering assist. Assist is an EPS function and sway control is common; in our case a function of the traction control/ABS. So he's clueless as per usual.
