Hi everyone, this is my first post here!

I recently picked up a 2020 TRD OR AccessCab which I am already in love with. After tons of research on the best 'strategy' to upgrade the sound, I naturally came across the kicker tweeter / front door speaker upgrade. However I realized that with my Entune Plus system, the Kicker 6x9 speakers might be underpowered and actually sound worse than the stock speakers. I was curious if people with Entune Plus could confirm this or know about speakers that perform well (increase volume / low frequency clarity) with this stock system?

Logical step would be to add an amp but read that this generates constant hissing noise from the stock HU. Some people seem to live with it and don't mind. Obviously subjective, but can anyone share their experience adding an amp to Entune Plus?

Last resort would be changing the HU, certainly the cleanest way to go, however I would look for other avenues to slightly improve the sound first. Was also thinking of just adding sound deadener behind the stock speakers and calling it a day.

Thanks for everyone's input, really appreciate this community!

Don't waste your money on a speaker upgrade without upgrading the head unit. I'm not sure if it changed in 2020, but the rear speakers basically have nothing for sound.

I did the tweeter upgrade and added an underseat 8" Powered Subwoofer. Not great bass, but good bass.

Awesome to hear! Did you put in sound deadening around the front speakers as well? Curious if this would already improve current situation. Good shout on the sub, which one did you get? How are you liking the overall sound now after these 2 updates?
