Bile green will likely start showing up around august. After the ten people that want one buy one it will quickly be made NLA as the remaining trucks will sit on dealers lots for ages. I don't think the reception of this color is going to go over very well.

I'm sure we'll see one in the flesh in late August. I know my sales rep wasn't too keen on the color. He said they sell more white and silver than anything else. I kind of wonder if they'll even bring one in.

Probably because that is what Toyota ships to them.

I had a sales guy at a dealer near me say that the blue wasn't very popular, yet Everytime they got a blue one in, it was sold within two days.

Keep in mind, this is the Toyota blue, not the Calvary cement blue.

If you take the words of a sales rep seriously, that is your first problem. They would lie to their own mother to make the sale.

Traditionally greens have been setup for failure. If you look back, Spruce and Timberland both had low production numbers. Same with Pyrite (brown) and Quicksand. The volume sellers are always white and silver, but that doesn't really mean the low volume colors are a failure. They usually have a high demand because so few of them are produced. Toyota doesn't let you "order" a vehicle in the traditional sense that they'll build it for you. You can pre-reserve and customize an allocation of a particular color / model, but if i tried to "order" a green one after they've stopped painting them, too bad, lost my chance. So what this does is it limits supply to a pre-defined amount that Toyota sets, compared to a true ordering system where popular colors would have a supply to meet the demand because people would just order it the way they want (like a sandwich at subway).

So I should probably rephrase that, greens never sell high volume, but they're always a fan favorite with a huge following. The number of active people in the Spruce Mica thread is small, but every 3 months or so someone pops in "I wish I got one of these when I had the chance"

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/lets-see-your-spruce-micas.208146/

I have no doubt Army Green will sell well, in fact so well some people won't be able to find one. By the numbers it'll be in the bottom 2 of the 11 or 12 colors that Tacomas are offered in, especially because it's only on the TRD Pro, and will be a commercial "failure" when measured against how much inventory this color let a dealer move or how much money it made for Toyota.

Same here. It is growing on me now ... spruce mica has always been my dream truck and this might be as close as I can get.

Those lame tires on a Pro still irk me. The ZR2s come standard with Duratracs.

Spruce was cool cause no one else around me had one. Didn’t see another spruce taco for 3 years. Was a bitch to keep clean and shows scratches something fierce. After owning white I won’t own anything else.

I don't think anything will hold up against Spruce Mica unless they bring back Spruce Mica. Such an awesome colour.

Man, I'm just not a big fan of green trucks. I know that's heresy around here lol. I'm glad for a green Pro though. I know a TON of folks love a green so I'm happy for them. Cement is my favorite Pro color, but I would love to see something like a flat black.

I think cement was the best choice so far for the Pro. Looks good across the board, Tundra, 4Runner, Tacoma. As cliche as it is to say my favourite is probably silver but my truck is Barcelona Red. I didn't love it at first but I definitely do like the red now. Silver just looks so clean.

Barcelona is underrated. I was never crazy about them in photos, but the first time I saw one in person I did a double take. It's a stunning color in person.

When I worked at Toyota 10 years ago 4 colors grey, silver, white, and black represented about 90 percent of the allocation. The other colors were in the low single digits in terms of allocations.
