Barcelona has immense colour depth and a fantastic shimmer, definitely up there with Inferno though I must say I like the deeper red vs the orange.

I bet it is. I wonder if it is because that is what people buy or people buy those colors because they represent the most on the lot. I know I would have preferred red or blue, but all I could find was grey with the options I wanted so that is what I went with.

 

It wasn't like I was inquiring about buying this ugly puke, snot, bile shit green. He brought it up and it's a hideous color.

No, lol. It was less that year, 2011 was the tsunami year. But production that year was still 2500ish, some came without the wheels and some other items so they could get allocations on time. They were dubbed NSSE, no so special edition. The FJ came with army green as a standard color with the white top for either 3 or 4 years it sold just fine.

Odd. Maybe it's regional? I just pulled a factory set from a '17 OR, they're Duratracs. Spare is too.

Could be Toyota changed up their tire deals at some point.

I think you still don't understand what many of us are saying about allocation vs demand...

They don't sell many because they don't make many of that color. They'll maybe allocate 2-3% of their production run to that color and they'll sell in 2020 2-3% of their trucks as green... If they went to an order-only system, no trucks on lots to buy, you have to order everything and it gets custom made for you, then i can guarantee that number would be different, probably higher.

gray, silver, black, white, there's a reason why people buy a lot of those, because that's what a lot of the lots are made of for inventory.

 

saw a spruce mica 2nd gen today and i like that color

 

Barcelona is rad, but I live for the day they bring back Radiant Red.

 

personally I think they should have gone with a darker green, something closer to Jet Green Metallic

 

That is the color that should come back. I could totally see a number of wives not being on board with bile/snot green

 

We've already had Imperial Jade Green in 2004. Even back then it was a dated color unless it was on a new bass boat.

Not regional. It’s the dealership more then likely changing the tires and upcharging. The standard tire on all Tacoma is the crappy hybrid Kevlar one.

 

I don't buy it, I've seen it at 5 different dealerships out here. And trust me, not all of them are up charging for every little fleck of paint they touch. there is also no line item on the buy sheets in the windows or the paperwork in the finance offices. Not for tire upgrades. But who knows
