I am looking at lifting my 2020 TRD Pro but I am having a hard time finding the information. I am going with the KO2 285/75R16 for tires. I do not do any crazy off roading and the extent of my adventures will be hitting up smaller trails at low speeds.

My question is. What height can I go with out ruining the Fox Suspension and my ride quality?

UCA, Top Plate Spacer, Add A Leaf, Is there anything else I will need?

The goal is to keep the factory suspension as long as possible while still allowing my Tacoma to be a little more bad ass and functional on trails.

Thanks in advance for any advice to this new Taco owner.

I wouldn’t add cheap spacers to that suspension. You can fit the 285s, just need a good alignment that pushes caster a bit and some trimming. Should not have to CMC since you said that your off road is very mild.

    Keep it stock.

The vehicle is very capable as it is, more than you are. Just learn to drive with it.

I thought 3rd gen PROS cleared 285’s stock.

OP you can buy 255/85r16 and those would definitely clear no problem stock.

I don't think the capability is what he's concerned about, it sounds like he's wanting more of a lift/bigger tires for the looks.

I got that, but then he threw in the part I quoted in bold

Seems the OP doesn't really know why he's doing what he's doing

He said exactly why he just wants to look cooler and have better trail performance

drop bracket if you want to go high enough to run larger tires it’s also the cheaper route and you can keep your coilovers

Drop bracket doesn't equate to better trail performance

I gotcha, I agree. "hitting up smaller trails at low speed" and "allowing my Tacoma to be a little more bad ass and functional on trails" is contradictory considering that the pro's performance can pretty much do what he wants without a sweat.

It allows for larger tires and raises everything but the control arms. That definitely helps.

There’s plenty of times my other Tacoma couldn’t get through things my drop bracket one can with ease. I will say it wouldn’t really help you in off roading racing. But as far as going over obstacles and mud it’s night and day.

Eibach is releasing new springs for the TRD Pro's that will lift the truck. The 4Runner springs already shipped. Eibach is the gem supplier for the factory TRD springs.

If you’re looking for a bit more lift why not consider a slightly larger tire than stock? I’m running 265/75/16, which provides more clearance over stock without unnecessary/significant changes to the suspension. No chopping, no suspension upgrades, and the spare still fits underneath the bed to boot. Check out my post history if you’re looking to gauge whether or not this looks neat to you.

My question for you is what is your actual objective here? If you’re looking to make your truck more capable, you should seriously contemplate what isn’t capable about your current setup. If you’re looking to make your truck *look* cooler, does rebuilding your suspension really make sense? You can improve upon the looks of your truck without rebuilding your suspension or stuffing 33”+ tires.
