I am installing my Yaesu Ftm-400xdr and noticed the rear seat (actual cest, not backrest) has no latch. It’s got the hook for one, but there is nothing to latch to. Is this normal?25FB2B9D-D94B-4366-8924-1CF92BCE0796.jpgB739D80E-33D1-4D6D-A8DA-30FA8082F183.jpg

That's the way they are designed - the lip puts pressure on the seat but doesn't lock it in place.

I think in a collision with someone sitting in the seat, the bottom will shift forward and then lock into that hook. Keeps the seat from flipping up in a crash.
