I don’t know if it will but with the tools and duct tape anything can fit

It'll fit but not sure how you'll be able to cut the whole without a template. With a template people still have trouble cutting a decent hole, now imagine no template.

    For sure,
I’m hoping the kit comes with a template. Otherwise, I’ll be trying to get one from Toyota. Definitely not something I’ll be comfortable guessing

If it's installed at the factory I'd wonder if Toyota even has a template?
edit: I mean if they are installed in the factory you'd think the hole cutting operation would be automated, not some guy with a cardboard template and a saw. If they are added at the port then for sure there is a template.

This forum is so full of speculative bull shit.

There’s effectively no blind spot. Come on, it’s a skinny tube that follows the A pillar.

There’s no wind noise. Have you ridden in one? I am guessing part of the reason it looks like a sock puppet is the get the head up high out of view and to reduce wind noise.

Grab some silicon and hose clamps when you install.

Is that a OEM snorkel, safari, or dobinsons? It looks OEM

    Nice!
    I thought so.

Where’d you get it? I ordered one, but worried they’re going to email back with the same line that it only ships to current 2019 or 2020 TRD Pro owners.
Did you install? If so, did it come with a template?

It came from a pro owner that didn’t like it.

I wasn’t able to find a template if they are available. I used the mounts on the prinsu rack and the inner fender duct as guides.

It will be fine, and it will look great and what a clusterphuck this thread became. Lol. I think some folks disregard the historical impact Toyota has had in the world of off road, and the engineering, research and development (holy phuck, TRD??) that has been done. Reminds me of the header design and the whopping 5% improvement in HP....(it's 5% right?) I'm with ya man, your truck do what ever you want to until someone walks up and hands you $25,000..lmao

I have the pro snorkel on my pro. It does look better in person than in photos. I have never had a single person, taco owner or otherwise, who has seen it in real life that has said anything negative about the appearance (or based on any of the photos I have posted).

That being said, I have no way to gauge whether it is actually getting cleaner air or not. I do most of my wheeling in the desert and have cut up fender liners due to my high clearance front bumper. The amount of dust is truly unbelievable so I’m happy I have it. I wouldn’t have ordered a truck with the option but I’m not upset that the one they had on the lot had the snorkel.

As far as VIN locking pro parts. That is a real thing. I did just bust off the snorkel head and they needed my vin (or any pro vin really) and a description of the damage to provide to Toyota for them to ship the snorkel head to the dealership. There were zero in the US and it took about a week to come from overseas.

Welcome to the forum, don’t feed the trolls.

If you've ever gone wheeling where it's dusty, you'll know how much dust gets into your airbox. I just wish they had a better design for it than a sock puppet.

I still can't seem to grasp what these "snorkel" things are for. First time I saw one at a dealer lot off from a distance across the lot, I'm like what the heck is that? It struck me as awkward and I thought there was something wrong or out of place. Is that some kind of manufacturing defect, or maybe some temporary attachment the dealers use for storage until it's sold?
