2020 TRD Pro Taillight Condensation

I think the consensus is that some condensation is considered normal. But there’s no clear answer as to when some is too much so it’s a toss up. I guess the only way to know is to bring it in to a dealership and have them checked.

 

Did you get new tail lights?
I ordered a pair for my trd sport build, hoping mine are nicely sealed.

 

Had that happen when my 2018 was still under warranty. Took pics. Brought it to the dealer. And service advisor replaced it for me.

 

It's been raining hard here all day. Just slacked up about an hour ago. went out and checked mine. No condensation at all. Bone dry inside. Used a bright LED flashlight to check.

 

I was told that the headlights were on backorder. One of them is arriving on Monday and the other on the 22nd. It's just a matter of installing them once they arrive.

 

It seems like it's just a hit or miss. Some dealerships are willing to work with people while some aren't.

 

Lucky you! Hopefully, my new tail lights will be as good!

 

For all those who'd like an update. The new lights were installed today and the process is complete! I also made a video to recap the situation for those interested and anyone in the future who stumble on this thread and needs help with their situation.

No offense, I can't stand the video. Skipped numerous times till the end and I saw nothing but this person's face.

 

I had condensation on my driver side headlight. I just got one of those silica packets you find inside shoe boxes and stuffed it in the housing through one of the bulb connections. Haven't had a problem since.

 

Video is dull and has zero value. I watched the first 45 seconds and then skimmed thru the rest.

This thread seems like an over reaction now.

I would if it was me. That's what warranties are for.

 

I have a bunch of condensation in each of my tail lights on my 2020 TRD PRO.

 

They took care of it no problem.
