I’ve got the 17s. I know what you mean about the 16s. I sit on the fence sometimes too. The 16”s look more off-road-worthy, but in actual performance the 17s do just fine. They have grown on me, and sometimes the 16” wheels look silly to me now, if that makes sense.

Thank you, I would not buy wheels from a British news agency anyways.

Well, I've got corroded up 15's wrapped in cooper-made-but-sold-in-canada rubber, so any direction is up  I do feel like 17s might possibly be a little much for a 1st gen reg cab though. The only thing I've heard about 16 vs 17 is less sidewall gives a rougher ride, but I don't have the experience to judge that. Seems to me like tire pressure would have more to do with it, so long as you don't get so low that you're getting close to losing the bead.

The other side of the equation is what tires I can get in a load range C. A quick search at discount shows me nothing but E's in 235/85/16 and 235/80/17, so that'll take some more work too. I'm pretty sure I looked a couple months ago and found something suitable.

Ah well. Bigger fish to fry right now anyway.

OEM! The lettering is 3.9 ounces lighter than the 2019 caps.

    TacomaWorld Christmas came early
Can’t thank a member here enough for the chance to purchase his take off wheels and lug nuts at a great price. I’m gonna clean off with a microfiber and install tomorrow. Could not be more excited! Kinda the finishing touch for my 19’ VB Pro.

One last picture to give hope to those waiting for the center caps...6FFE4BF9-0220-4721-AE01-DDB15C8530BA.jpg
After pics coming tomorrow for those with VB, or for those that just wanna see them mounted on a different color than the current pros.

Don’t mind the dirty tires. The snow and ice here has been unforgiving on the rubber lately. I’ll clean those up later. I think these are pics of the first non-2020 Pro with 2020 Pro wheels. Hope this helps those on the fence. Used all OEM parts including lugs and locks.

Nice! Did you notice a difference in the ride quality? Supposedly the 2020 wheels are 4 pounds lighter than the 17-19 Pro wheels.

Honest answer, feels the same to me. I didn’t notice any difference on the highway today.

They do now. They come standard on the 2020 Pros. They are not available at the parts counter yet, but will be soon. I bought my package as a complete take-off from a member here that was parting with it all from his Pro.

Is the purchase source so TS it can’t be posted? I’d love to bite.
