Had a opportunity to see and test drive a 2020 trd pro in army green Tacoma yesterday. Loved the truck but also considering the off road in cement. While I was waiting on a price from salesman I decided to inspect the undercarriage. I found rust on a lot of the frame at many of the welds. Why? New truck should be spotless. I then inspected the off road cement and it had no rust. I told the salesman about the rust and said I was mistaken. Really? I inspect big trucks for a living and I know what rust looks like. So he acted like I didn’t see it and tried to sale me the truck anyway. I am not buying a $50000 truck with rust already starting.

    1) welcome 2) awesome screename 3) if you inspect big trucks for a living, and you say that it’s actual RUST rust, then I’d like to actually see that, because in my mind, I’m seeing mild surface staining and not actually a compromised frame.

Did the salesman give you a price on the AG Pro?

My dealer had Army Green and White Pros on the lot. I was wanting a Cement as well but the wheels on the Pro sold me. I picked up the white, not a fan of the Army Green. To each their own I guess... I still drool over the cement trucks when I see them. Especially the Jeep Cherokee that's a tad darker, I'd never buy one but I love the color.

Pro’s were offered in Cement only in the first year, 2017. I’m a white vehicle guy from way back. It’s my favorite car/truck color by far.
