The biggest (and most important IMO) between the two is the factory e-locker. OR has it, Sport doesn't. Regardless of if you 4-wheel or not, there's no better traction device than a good old fashion locker to get you out of a mess. With that being said, my dad has a sport and would never get himself into a "mess" let alone will he ever go 4-wheeling.

The original suspension is not that good on sport nor Offroad. I have OR and upgraded the suspension pretty quick. Happy camper now.

    I see the decision as:

    1. Hood Skewp (it gathers panties thrown at truck).
    2. The rear locker (mall crawling like a boss).

Yup, I ran the numbers and the OD of the tires are only about .05 different. That's less than 1/16".

But the tires on the OR are more aggressive. It seems like that would affect mileage. And it doesn't have the air damn the Sport does. I've always thought an air damn under the chin of a car was to reduce drag and improve gas mileage.

I think Toyota may be playing loose with the numbers!!! LOL

these were the 2 important factors for me as well..for wanting the Pro but ultimately went with the OR because i really wanted cement and will add the hood with scoop later.

That’s sort what did it for me too. I really want the long bed so I ended up with the Sport. Although I really want the Off Road, I start to weigh out some of the options and whether I really was going to need them or not and the long bed sport sort of fit the bill. Am I going to regret not getting the TRD off-road? Perhaps someday but for now my TRD sport just might be the nicest truck I’ve ever owned.

I'm looking for a scoop too. Waiting for @Mrtacoman88 to leave his door unlocked. 4 bolts and I'm out. Ps. Don't worry I'll leave him my OR hood. Trading is not stealing.

Personally I think a non-functional hood scoop is laughable (and ugly).
I'll take the locking differential, crawl control, terrain select, fenders, transmission skid plate, and bilstein shocks.

You must not like the P-51 air scoop. One of the reasons I love my scoop is that it has something in common with the greatest fighter plane in World War II history.

Correct me if im wrong but i believe you can also run 255/85/16s on the TRD OR stock wheels but cant on the sport due to the different rims. Just something to consider if you're looking to run taller tires without a lift

Aside from rubbing issues... yes, this is correct because an R16 tire means it needs to go on an 16" rim. Sports come with 17" rims.

However, there are plenty of tires in the R17 size that are similar to the R16 sizes.

Sorry i meant to say you can run 255/85/16s on the OR but cant run 255/85/17 on the sport as i guess the rim offset is different and that causes the rubbing

Oh its functioning, you can ask all the Germans who survived a dog fight against one of these devils. The look (air intake scoop) was very forward thinking and of course sexy A F.
