Truck is 2020 Double Cab Off Road with 6 speed manual transmission. I have had truck 4 weeks. The mileage is 1800 miles. Twice, I have been at a stop, let out the clutch to go and the truck will not move. Low engine oil pressure and check charging system warnings come on. I have turned the key off and then back on, and everything seems to return to normal. Have been to the dealer after each incident(500 miles apart). They can find no trouble codes registered. Everything seems normal. They say that their regional people have no records of this issue with any other vehicle. I do not understand what could be going on that would completely immobilize the truck. Any ideas?

If you're on a steep uphill incline this can happen.

I've seen it while off-roading a few times. Not the end of the world, it's goofy and has to do with the fact that the oil pan doesn't have baffles in it and the sump is front loaded

Would you call this a normal stall, then the motor won't restart? The stock tune has a weak low end only due to the tune itself. And, some folks find that starts after a stall can take more cranks than feels normal. The only known solution here is to either keep cranking or cycle the key / ignition. Cycling the ignition is said to work faster. For me, I never think of cycling the key and just crank until catches.

Ernie, I'm sorry you're dealing with that already. I hope you still get a warm welcome on this forum and the dealer gets this figured out. I have not heard of anyone having a similar issue. Subscribing for details. Wish you the best, and like I said, welcome aboard!

Curious, does the engine stall or are you using the key to shut it down?

Thanks for the reply. In both of my incidents, I was on flat ground--once trying to pull away from gas pump, and the second at a city intersection.

Is it a normal MT stall and trouble restarting or is the engine simply stopping?

I haven't a clue on this one OP. The oil pan baffle thing makes sense but not with your circumstances.

The engine continues running if I push in the clutch. The truck will not move when clutch is let out. It is as if the brakes have been set.

You’re either stalling the truck or it’s not completely in gear. If it’s running and in gear and you release the clutch it’s going to move or stall.

Sounds like you're stalling it. It took me awhile to get use to driving this truck, its weird driving a manual trans on a vehicle with electronic throttle and a clutch accumulator if you are not used to it. I still stall mine once in a while if I'm not paying attention.

Do you feel it pulling and straining like it wants to go?

Whoa! That is a new one.

The Sport MT has a line lock for Hill Assist, but the ORs and Pros have no such thing as they have an electric brake booster and a different ABS system. There should be nothing holding you back. There is a definite problem there. Unfortunately, the dealer will need to repeat the problem to diagnose it unless a code is stored. Check engine light says on.

Have you washed the truck or in area where there is a lot of moisture? Is the truck lifted, rear shoes in the drums have been known to stick, as well as bad clutches. Dealers/manufacturers will not warranty clutches though, but a bunch have burned out to early to really be driver error in my opinion.

And you're letting the clutch out far enough to engage (whatever gear it's In, hopefully first lol)?
