Just got my ‘21 last week with no first-aid kit. I read about it being offered on the SR5 and up, but didn’t think about it when I was at the dealership; just wanted to get home (did the purchase on a Wednesday after work-long day). Probably better off building my own.

It sounds like these official Toyota first aid kits are collector's item .

I bet it falls under the dealerships responsibility to add it during their sale prep, and just conveniently 'forget' to put it in the cab in hopes you don't know or wont ask. I doubt it's a huge profit for them, but I'm sure adds to their bottom line =P

Even a couple weeks after the sale, you should ask for it.

The factory first aid kit is trash (from a nurse's perspective) I wouldn't even bother and just spec out your own as mentioned or even an off the shelf such as myfak mymedic. There's a few good threads here with EMTs, ER nurses, and others discussing good things to have, etc.

I took delivery of my 2021 Tacoma on 12/9. There was no first aid kit in it, but I asked the salesman about it. He didn't seem to know anything about it, but a little bit later he handed me one. So, it seems like they have a stash of them and only pass them along upon request.

They're good for soccer dads who get a splinter loading a 2x4 at HD or a kid with a skinned knee. Beyond that all the components will be out of date or heat rotted before they get used. :D

I took delivery of my 2021 TRD OR 6MT and asked about the first aid kit --no dice. I was given a vinyl pouch for the library of owner's manuals, but it had the dealership name all over it. One nice touch was a keychain from the dealership with the toyota roadside assistance number etched in the back along with the dealer service info.
