Y'all should put your driver/team in your profile info so we know who you support and then we can throw some abuse each others way...?

    Norris all the way...

Interesting, Charles just said in the morning drivers briefing you were allowed to have all 4 tires off the track at turn 4. Lewis was warned about getting a black flag and obviously Max gave the position back. I wander who is right?

Should have protested and gave multiple examples of Lewis doing the exact thing the whole race.

Yeah, I'm not a Max fan but I'm definitely not a Lewis fan ;) Max has changed so much in the last couple of seasons and it's nice to see RB can bring the fight to Mercedes.

McLaren & Ferrari are looking pretty close. It was a shame Gasly rear ended Ricciardo, it would have been nice to see him in the fight for the rest of the race...

Awesome race season is back on. Nothing like waking up, grabbing a cup of coffee and having my morning time to watch the race. Ya Max giving up the #1 spot was wack. Fight till the finish and let the team management negotiate whatever it needs to be with the rules officials. I'm also tired of hearing Lewis say his tires are done or he's at max pace with old tires and somehow he can always push them further and harder. I am glad to know that RB can and will challenge MB this season. That race was Max's if it weren't for that 'ambiguous' rules corner (#4).

As a Finn, I always want Bottas to do well but even in qualifying he just didn't seem to have it on this track this weekend. Glad to see he at least got the point for fastest lap. I'd say that botched pit stop was bad luck on him AGAIN (which it was) but i don't think he was in the fight anyways.

And Mazepin, he spun out a lot in qualifying as well didn't he?

If Vettel still had it he would still be at Ferrari. Leclerc smoked him pretty much every race? Dont get me wrong he had a phenomenal run years ago just seems like he lost it a few years ago. Go Max!

I think something happened between Ferrari and Vettel, he lost inspiration and didn't gel with the car and then did shit. I'm not particularly a fan of Seb... and he can definitely make mistakes like he did today. The Aston should be a good car so he'll have no excuses in a few races.

Yeah Max should have won today.

Makes sense. Sounds like a mediocre driver at best.
    Karting
Mazepin started his karting career in 2011 and quickly moved up the ranks, driving in the CIK-FIA Karting European Championship in the KF3 class in just his second year of competition. In 2013 he finished fourth in the KFJ-category of the WSK Super Master Series, and in 2014, his final year of karting, the Russian became vice-champion in the Karting World Championshipto Lando Norris.

    Formula 3 European Championship
In 2016, Mazepin competed in the 2016 FIA Formula 3 European Championship for Hitech Grand Prix. He scored four points-scoring finishes and finished 20th in the championship. After being blocked during a session by Callum Ilott, Mazepin got into an altercation with the other driver, during which he hit him in the face, resulting in a ban from the first race of the Hungaroring meeting. The sanction itself was controversial, with Frits van Amersfoort, boss of Ilott's team, believing the decision to be too lenient, calling it "a ridiculous decision by the stewards".[6][7]

Nonetheless, Mazepin was retained for another season. He improved a lot compared to his first year, scoring 108 points and finishing on the podium on three occasions. He finished one place behind teammate Ralf Aron, who was ninth, and five behind fifth-placed Jake Hughes.

    GP3 Series
In 2018 Mazepin moved to GP3, to race for ART Grand Prix alongside Callum Ilott, Jake Hughes and eventual champion Anthoine Hubert. He won four races, the most of any driver that year, and finished second in the championship, only 16 points behind Hubert. Furthermore, he helped his team secure the title in the team championship.

    FIA Formula 2 Championship
In 2019, Mazepin progressed to Formula 2 to partner Nyck de Vries at ART Grand Prix. His season was marked by causing an accident with Nobuharu Matsushita in the sprint race at the Sochi Autodrom. While his teammate ended up winning the championship, Mazepin's end result was 18th place with 11 points.

In 2020, he signed for the new Hitech Grand Prix Team to drive alongside Italian Luca Ghiotto. His first podium came at the Hungaroring with second place, before taking his first F2 victory in Britain. Mazepin also won the feature race at Mugello. On the final lap of the Belgian feature race, he pushed Carlin Motorsport driver Yuki Tsunoda wide, and was given a five second time penalty, denying him victory.[8][citation needed]

    Formula One
Mazepin was named test driver of Sahara Force India in 2016 and made his Formula One testing debut in the in-season test at Silverstone, where he achieved a personal best laptime of 1:31.561.[9] He stayed in that role for the following two seasons, racking up 100 laps at the Hungaroring in 2017 and 51 in 2018 at the same track.[10] The following year the Russian took part for Mercedes in the 2019Barcelona test, where he topped the timing sheets with a time of 1:15.775.[11]

    Haas (2021–)
Mazepin joined Haas F1 Team for 2021 on a multi-year deal, partnering Mick Schumacher.[3] He chose the number 9 as his permanent racing number. In his debut raceMazepin crashed out on lap one having previously spun on the kerb at turn three.

Sky F1's Paul Di Resta revealed: "I spoke to [FIA race director] Michael Masi and asked what is the hard and fast rule? He said if a car overtakes outside the white line, you've got to let the car back. You've got to give the track position back."

Yea Max did the right thing. I bet Lewis wouldn't have given it back and would've pissed and moaned when they docked him 5 sec or whatever. I thought for sure he'd have another go but he overcooked his tires to make that shot. Lewis held him off, why he's the champ. "Max is going to overtake him if the team can get they're shit together (Perez side of the garage)". Awesome race and expect more of the same going forward. Oh and yes Alonzo still has it for sure.
