    In my opinion,
If he had copped that 'tude with the stewards, I bet he'd have a larger penalty. His words make it sounds like it was intentional, it was a "statement", and he'd do it again. Of course I could be wrong.....

Seems like racing to me. Everyone's moved on and most importantly Max just got his bell rung.

What about Perez's race, I wonder how many overtakes he made during the race. Crazy!

My view is after Saturday Lewis felt defeated and desperate on Sunday. He knew if Max stayed in the lead after lap one it would probably be another Max win. I think Lewis went into that corner with the mentality that he had nothing to lose & all to gain being on the inside. It worked & now that’s the tone that may not be great for F1. That you can potentially take a big risk, wreck your opponent and still win if you are fast enough. I think it should have been a stop/go penalty. I also don’t like that the teams can work on the cars during a red flag. Another huge gift to Hamilton finding out that he would’ve had a DNF if they were not allowed to work on them. Next Friday should be very interesting.

So you think Hamilton intentionally put Max into the barrier at 150+ mph?

Rarely do people intend to put someone into a barrier (Perez has done frequently) but I would actually agree that Lewis probably felt that was his only chance to take the lead, so he took the risk.

We saw a similar risk with Daniel Kyvat years ago, remember the “torpedo” incident?

Lewis violated the rules and was penalized however he won, so there is a high likelihood that he would take that risk again knowing it could lead to another victory.

I agree. That just made it worse. He took out the leader (the stewards agree it was his fault) and was allowed to repair the damage with no consequence for that damage... that was his fault.

Not at all but I think he threw caution out the door and let #blessed work for him like it has so many other times lol. He decided at that moment to take the gamble & not back out & same with Max. Unfortunately for Max he was on the outside & is not the luckiest driver ever like Lewis is.

Well, seems 50/50 on the sprint race. I personally think it's way more boring that having racers coming in at the last second and you don't quite know who's in the lead and BAM you find out who gets pole. Much more exciting IMO.

The race was pretty good. I was soooo rooting for LeClerc to keep the lead but also know Ferrari doesn't have the speed Mercedes does so it was inevitable. Bottas tho, man... i gotta stop rooting for him. His tires were two laps newer (I think?) yet he just f*cking is slow. Like, we KNOW he can be fast he was putting in fastest laps in the race consistently, qualifying he always does well... but then comes race time and he just cant seem to put it all together. Its either that or he just has to let Hamilton be better.

My opinion on the Max/Ham crash, I feel like Ham should've let off. He didn't have the racing line and he was slightly behind Max. He got a penalty but I don't know if it was enough or not. Just sucks to see Max DNF because otherwise i think it would have been a great race between them two the entire time.

I haven't read a comment by a current or former F1 driver where they are as wound up about the HAM-VER as some here. Get a grip. You would have completely lost your minds over Senna-Prost or half the crap Schumacher pulled.

Difference is, back in the day I used to watch races down my local pub listening to the real Murray in real time and have real conversations/arguments with real people. Now I watch a recording on 3 screens whilst sat on my couch in Hawaii with the wife and then have keyboard arguments with you peeps who may or may not be real people...

Times like this I miss England... :)
