Agreed, pull into pit lane in running order, park in order in pit lane and no one from the garage touches the car unless it completes another lap around and pulls into their pit stall.

Only exception would be if it starts raining and the race director decides to allow a tire change.

That makes sense, I could see some exceptions but no adjustments or repairs

Let’s really discuss what is important and guess if Botta’s is staying or going? I’m going to guess staying & Toto is just dangling a carrot in front of Russel. My reasoning is Botta’s really is not a threat to Lewis and the WDC & obeys all team orders. If they sign Russel & he is as good as we think he is no way is he going to be second fiddle to Lewis if he can beat him in races. This brings on the issue they had with Nico vs Lewis. The potential of taking points away from Lewis or clashes between the two. Lastly I think Lewis doesn’t want Russel on the team because if he is beaten a few times it will take away from his accomplishments in a way possibly? We’re does everyone think Russel is going to land next season?

I say they move up Russel on Hamiltons last year because what would Hammy care anyway.

I think Toto and and Merc are in a tough spot with Russell. If they don't promote him they could lose him to another team at worst and lose his trust at best. My money is on Russel to Merc.

Hamilton has been saying for ages there's nothing more he wants than close racing/competition. He's a multi world champion, a great driver and he should be able to handle the heat. If Russell can bring it (which I think he can) it will be an exciting season. Especially if McLaren can step it up another gear with the new car.

yeh. I dunno what the status of VB.s contract is though. So it’s a guess.

I agree on all points. Bad idea for Mercedes to make the change. Good idea for the fans.

What's the consensus on Bottas' skill? Is he good but told by Merc to not beat Hamilton or is he just not that good outside of driving a Merc vehicle?

I don't think he's good enough to beat half the field if they all had the same car.

Yep, he can qualify well but doesn’t have the balls for hard racing.
