"Sign up" implies a level of professionalism and organization I'm not prepared to provide unless y'all start paying me :).

We'll have some ralley points, campgrounds and attractions planned. And make sure no one gets left behind in the forest.

Apparently that was funnier in my head.

When the date gets closer I'll PM everyone who said they were interested. The people who reply will get details on the campsites and route. Then we'll hit the road.

If you got a lot of time into organizing a trip like this, the policy should be the organizer drinks for free or something.

Way back when I used to help organize some 50-100 car cruises and that was a part time job. Add in camping sites and stuff and I understand you got a little bit of an undertaking going on

That's why I try to be clear about what I'm doing and not doing.

I have a list of campsites on another post that would be viable for a bunch of trucks.. and provide good spots for all RTT, and ground tents.. still would like to do more scouting this fall travel farther north... looking to go on a sunday-tuesday trip in november sometime if anyone is interested in helping me scout campsites that are easily accessible, and good for our purposes.

    PASTED FROM OTHER POSTING:

*Baker lake (north end) south end campsite is a small hike in... 5 campsites w/ fire rings plenty of space 1 covered table (they were replacing them on the 25th-26th of this month) 2 outhouses lake access boat ramp...

*Cuacomgomoc lake dam campsite lake stream, loud sound of the spillways, and moisture from spillways running when open.. 3 campsites + 3 more in the trees (ground covered in exposed roots (trip hazard) 1 outhouse fishing regulations for waters at dam...

*St. Francis lake campsite - off main road, and access to the st fracis lake waters 2 campsites, 2 fire rings, 1 outhouse plenty of space for 5 or so trucks with RTT's, and a few grounders..

*wadleigh pond campsite- 2 campsites right on main road, right on water front, 1 covered table, plenty of grass area to spread out 5-10 trucks or so... 1 outhouse across main road....

*Round Pond- we fit 11 rigs here last time from RTT's to ground tents with space to spare.. access to lake...

*5th St Johns Bridge campsite- saw this one on the roadside headed home.. right off main road (baker lake road/490) small but could fit 6 or so trucks, and a few ground tents. (cozy like)...1 campfire ring, 1 outhouse, 1 table..

there are many others, but so far in the southeast of the NMW these are decent sites, wadleigh pond campsite is on the main road.. so for an overnight it may be ok, but for daytime would be a dusty adventure

theres pics of cuacogomoc dam, and Baker Lake campsites, both are rather large, and would fit 10 trucks or so.. baker lake campground/coucogomac could be reached from any of the moosehead area checkpoints in under 2 hours... I made it out from baker lake campground to the 20 mile checkpoint un just over 1hr15 minutes.. cruising at around 45mph, except for the lliving quarters area speed drops to 25MPH....
