yeah I'll pass on the Dusy Ershim loop lol, I imagine most everyone would as I don't think any of us are equipped for a trail like that. At least from what I've seen/heard about it, one of those dual locker + 35s and bring all the spare parts you can kind of trails.

It says Bald Mountain is closed from the wildfires last year, is it open yet or?

Some of the trails out here that have been closed from fire damage have stayed closed for years

    No jelly, just peanut butter.

Peanut butter, pickles and ketchup on toasted white bread as a sammich. Try it.

Hmm...ok with the jelly removed it does sound more agreeable. I don't know about ketchup in there though. I'll take your word on it lol

    Okay first: :puke:

When my brother-in-law was a kid, all he'd eat were ketchup sandwiches. Bread. Ketchup. That's it.

Ironically, he's a trained chef now.

I don't even put ketchup on hotdogs.

I only mentioned Dusy Ershim cause there's a trail near it? Hence us needing to scope it out online, etc.

Just made the short trek out though.

There's a turn off from Dinkey Creek onto Rock Road which is where the trail really started for me; everything is covered in snow. It's the road directly ahead crossing the road -

    20210216_102316(0).jpg

As mentioned earlier, Bald Mountain is open. I confirmed this as you can find out online the trail status. That and you'll run across this sign while on Dinky Creek -

    20210216_114521.jpg

It took maybe a good solid 30 minutes of driving on Dinky Creek -

    20210216_103345.jpg

Really though it's fun seeing as how you're just constantly climbing and have a lot to view -

    20210216_104021.jpg

The trails are clearly marked for Bald Mountain -

    20210216_105226.jpg

Fortunately for you Ryan, the trail leading up to Dusy Ershim is closed

It's the trail straight ahead, you'll see the gate locked -

    20210216_105117.jpg

Continuing on to Bald Mountain, the trail gets really "bumpy"...felt smooth as hell to me really as you're just articulating here and there as you climb -

    20210216_105553.jpg

Just before the actual trail, you'll have your choice of Difficult or Most Difficult; guess we'll see what we'll do when the time comes -

    20210216_105839.jpg

    20210216_105849.jpg

Since I was by myself, I chose to follow the Difficult trail marker. Really it turns out to be a steep climb but I've got to head back to my appointment in Clovis -

Well yes, I'm a heathen, but for different reasons. I still eat PB&J like a normal person. I was just describing how screwed up my family is...
