    Congratulations Ryan Blaney.

Kyle Larson dominated but Blaney got it when it mattered

    Thoroughly enjoyed that finish.

    11th aint bad either.

Edit: just gained another level of respect for Ryan Blaney giving that little kid the flag. That made that kid's life.

That was a fun one. During the last 50 laps, we were timing 10-lap runs among the top 3 guys, then started timing the split between the 5 & 21 for the last 20 laps. Blaney was catching Larson at .15 a lap. As soon as the sun dipped low and most of the track was in the shade, Larson's car went away. His times fell off from low-mid 32-second laps to mid-33-second laps. It was wild how fast he fell off when the track surface changed.

great photos. Thank you for sharing. No hate for Blaney winning this race. As also mentioned above, class act for giving that kid the checkered flag!

I was gonna do my weekly rundown of numbers in hopes of predicting this weekend's winners but given the dirt and the mayhem that has occurred thus far at Bristol, I'm over here just like:

I like your picks! I believe about 8 or so cup drivers will be running in the truck race on Friday so we may get a good gauge of front runners.

    I'd also add the #9 and #4 and #2,

    Should be great!!!

The 9 has reserved itself to suck knowing Chase will pickup one of the road course wins this year to make the chase. I think they are seeing how much they can cheat on the front end. If the 5 or 20 don't win this weekend it will be because they had trouble. As long as the effing 3 does not do well I really don't care.

Yeah, that was wild what happened to Chase yesterday. Did they explain it on TV? It looked like a mini-hood opened on the nose of the car. At first, we thought it was a decal flipping up but it was clearly something more rigid as it was 90 degrees to the ground and obviously messed up his aero to the point he was 1.5 seconds slower. I tried to get a pic and tagged AMS and Hendrick but no one replied.

Yeah, I am not sure on that one. I was surprised when they waited until the end of the segment to even throw tape on it. Starting in the back every week is burning the cars up by the time they get up front. That and Chase is being super aggressive but I am okay with that. I think the 9 team is comfortable enough with the speed they have that AG is playing with things to see how far he can push it. I thought it was funny when Clint started talking about the fender skirts on the 5 yesterday Gordon was all like "hey lets look over here" LOL...

It happened when he got into the back of the 18 on a restart. I assume it broke enough of the nose cone that the flap formed from a broken chunk and was held on by the wrap. Chase took a good shot in the rear also in the same exchange so it just screwed the airo all the way around I think. Oh well, it blew up anyway but even that was strange because the engine went to 9500 RPM's right before it happened. Either a ring gear or tranny broke or Chase was sick of being out their or he just flat out screwed up.

Do all NASCAR drivers have experience on the dirt or will this be embarrassing for some of them?

This will be quite embarrassing for most of them.

Even Hailie Deegan noticed that while watching the trucks at Eldora. She grew up on dirt and pointed out it was easy to tell who knew how to drive on dirt and who didn't.

I’ve said for years that the real “best drivers” get it done on dirt. A lot of these boys complain about anything less than fresh Radiator Springs asphalt. They complain about bumps (ahem-Truex). A LOT of big Cup driver egos will shrink after Saturday night.
