That 5 is dang stout. Gonna keep Chase from getting many W’s in the second half of the season. Is this Chase’s third runner up finish at Sonoma?

 

No. His best finish there before today, was 4th.

 

Yes. LOL, the USMC infantry is in my opinion the gayest strait position any guy can be in.

Yeah- Hard pass. I can't even understand the rules. Texas speedway. It's an all-around "nope" from me.

 

Totally agree. The rules for this all star race are fubared.

 

To top it off they are running the super speedway high downforce package. This will equate to cars that will go anywhere and no power to pass. The most streamlined cars will be fast and stuck to the ground. Pretty much once someone gets clean air its over.

They should take the spoilers completely off. Make them a minimum of 4 inches off the ground and give them all the HP they want. Then we would have a show.

 

Wow, I didn't know they were running the high downforce deal. I did see they were running a reduced 510 HP powerplant.

"The rules configuration for the All-Star Race will use the high-downforce aerodynamics package at the 1.5-mile track, but engines will use a tapered spacer reduced from 59/64th of an inch to 57/64th. That setup is currently used on superspeedways, where horsepower targets are in the 500-510 range."

 

Looks like Gordon might be leaving the booth for a larger role at HMS. I assumed he would at some point. Gordon is like a son to Mr. H and he is the logical person to take that role as the figure head at some point and ol Rick is not getting any younger.

 

Good for him! Good for Fox as well. He's awkward. Boyer and Mike Joy do well together.
