All I could think of was Days of Thunder. Thing is, Stenhouse was penalized yesterday for trying to hang back and anticipate the restart. The difference for KB was that he pitted again and tried to time leaving the pits.

Glad the 18 broke the Hendrick win streak . 6 in a row , 7 if you count the all star race . Maybe the 18 the 4 and a few others can start knocking that group off a bit .

Well... he wasn't getting any younger and his organization wasn't getting any better... plus I bet some big behind the scenes stuff factored in...

He was bleeding sponsors profusely and I'm willing to bet everything I have Kurt goes to 23XI next year... taking that now not needed 3rd "Trackhouse" charter and Monster Energy with him.

This is how the powerhouses like JGR and Penske came up in the 90's... Trackhouse gonna be lit in the near future.

I just feel bad for Suarez... he was rushed up way too soon thanks to the demise of Carl. The pressure got to him. I like Ross... And I think he's going to have a good future too... But I really think they put a solid established driver in that second car they will have. Heck even Ryan Newman would be a good fit for a year or two. He has RCR experience, and he can groom young Suarez. Look at how good Buscher has become... that gives him one last hurrah before retirement and opens up a seat for a Chevrolet development driver in the future.

I also think this is a three or four car team in the not-so-distant future. Childress ain't getting any younger either.

Now that my arm is usable again (motorcycle wreck, broke my hand, wrist, and arm in late April), we're working on our mini-hauler and getting it set up for dirt kart racing. We test-fit all the interior parts last weekend. I insulated the ceiling. We got our paint & lumber this week. We'll be painting walls, floor, mounting everything (tire rack, E-track, tool chest, fuel jug holder, work/lube station, mini-fridge, & shelving). It's a 6x12 and just big enough to hold everything we need for racing. If we expand to a 2-kart operation, we can fab a stacker.
