1/64 is where it's at. The 1/24 are cool and full of details but the kid in me just wants to play with them all.

I have a lot of the 1/64th just because they don't take up as much room. The 1/24th I do have were special edition cars or harder to find for some.

I have a Kyle Busch Interstate Batteries 1/64 but that's probably the first die cast I've purchased for myself in about 8 years. My favorite growing up was a Dale Jr "adult" version of the 8 car with Budweiser instead of "Dale" as a sponsor. It was made to not be taken off the stand and to be for display only. Naturally I got it off and played with it like the rest of my cars. Years later I tried that same thing after finding a COT version. I snapped the wing off during my attempt. Sad day.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Thanks. Those pics are several years old. I will post some of the current evolving garage this weekend. There is nothing wrong with 1/64 man. Some of those are ultra rare. And yeah, always some Jamo laying around for emergencies!

It's a little different when you can consistently back it up by running top 10 and winning.

Austin Dillon can't even do that.

To put it bluntly, nobody has gotten to any fame in racing without either being extremely talented and being at the right place at the right time or having a fat bank account. This is the harsh truth of the sport.

Out of all those, talent is what wins races these days.

As for silver spoons, Dale Jr probably had more money, access and sponsorship than Ty Gibbs.

Should we begin putting asterisks next to names with all those when describing their wins?

    That seems silly.

The only thing that really matters is who takes the checkered and who wins the championship.

    There's one thing to add.

Anyone who has strapped into the #54 in the Xfinity series this year has done well.

That is one good car and crew.

You use what you've got to get your foot in the door. Beyond that it is all you. A lot of jobs are more about who you know to get in. Backing it up after getting in is on you.

Talent, or lack there of, will outshine that silver spoon and name in time.
