Keep that a secret for sure. Shoot, I wouldn't tell him until you pull up to the track. That'll be an epic trip!

Good deal. I figure I'll get him a Colton Herta diecast for Christmas and include a note with the travel itinerary and watch his reaction.

The new 4 car doesn't look terrible with the number moved forward. However all they did was make the Gear Wrench logo on the quarter panel slightly bigger so it was almost kind of pointless.

Moving the number forward, IMO, it makes the car look longer.

Big dang weekend for Georgia sports:
    • Cutoff race for NASCAR with Chase Elliott in 2nd place and not a mathematical lock
    • Braves are 1 & 1 in World Series against the Astros
    • UGA (7 & 0) plays rival Florida (4 & 3) at the big ol' cocktail party
    • Georgia Tech (3 & 4) plays Virginia Tech (3 & 4)
    • Falcons (3 & 3) play Panthers (3 & 4)
    • Hawks (3 & 1) play the 76ers (2 & 2)

We are witnessing something special this year. If he can pull off the championship in two weeks, there has to be discussions around one of the greatest seasons, ever! Just on numbers alone!

It must be a mole. I just googled and it's there in all pictures of Larson.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Larson has had a dominant season but to me it does not feel anywhere as dominant as the years Gordon had in the late 90's. Hell, Harvick felt just as dominant last year until the final 5 races.

I think what we are witnessing is much less about a driver and a lot more to do with the sports next dominant crew chief. CD is in a league of his own right now. I would say only to rival RE, CK and CP. Guess you could include good ol Kirk Shelmerdine back in the day too.

I would have had Harvick in that discussion if he would have been able to finish off as a champion.

Modern day dominance will always have comparisons to Gordon and Johnson. It's great that we are here and can even have those discussions. Up to this point in the 2021 season, there should be no argument who the man to beat is and who the most dominant driver is. Can you finish off as a champion? That's to be determined. If he doesn't, he'll be remembered as another driver who couldn't finish off what he started. The clear difference between champion and great drivers.
