The nation is seeing REAL QUICK who keeps this country running. It's workers on the ground level making low wages, not CEOs.

I work at a 6 man company (surveying) and if they force us to shut down we have the option to still work. Me and my boss feel like we have the natural right to provide with our families and no one can take it away from us.

8-person crew here. Boss has us split into two crews that never cross over. Every day I work is more dollars on the next paycheck. We're also in the middle of moving and hadn't listed our other house the rain had hindered our moving and renovations. So now we're stuck with two mortgages at a time when NOBODY is buying a house.

So... now that its over... who DID win it?

Allows me to get much needed tune up work done. Just wanna kick the Dodge engineer that designed the V-6 Stratus in the dick. Have to pull the bolts from the trans mount to lower the engine just to get barely enough clearance to get to the back 3 plugs.

Did you stop to think that a bailout might keep the lights on and keep thousands of people from getting a pink slip? Yes, some CEOs make an exorbitant amount of money, but you know what else they do? They pay peoples' salary. They put food on your table and in your kid's belly. This "workers of the world unite" shit is tired. If you are so capable, quit bitching and start your own company and hire your own workers.

Also, who do you think will pay far any bailout? They tried to push through a $1.4 Trillion package, but where does that money come from? The only money government has is what it steals from the people. You, me, and every other citizen are already on the hook for over $500k a piece. What's $5k more?

A few additions to make me feel cool.
    Thanks for the opinion,

That privately held company I work for is mine. Though I am on the hook I consider myself a part of the company along with my modest staff. I am only as successful as they make us. I partner with a larger corporation who allows us the buying power to exist but by no means fortune 500. I do supply salaries and put food on the table. I make an average of 25k more a year than my top employees. and guess what, we have capital! My business can survive while paying my employees for a minimum of 6 months generating no income. You know why that is? Because I take home an honest wage and put money in the bank. Not because I cut myself a check and make the company bleed. I am anti union and completely against workers uniting. I feel for anyone that gets laid off but It is not the government's problem to keep you in buisness. I as a tax payer am not responsible to feed you. These companies who want a handout generate more income in an hour than I do in a year yet who needs a handout? Not the little guy! I and my staff live well. Because we work hard and I take care of my people and they in turn take care of me. I don't hide what our business makes, when things are lean they know. When times are good and we are fat they reap the rewards and we don't live or operate above our means.

I put my profits in the bank and pay the taxes on it to ensure we are stable. We are comfortable but not greedy. That is the difference! I don't care if a CEO makes a hundred million or no money at all. If revenue is lost and you are bankrupt in less than three months you have failed as a CEO. Therefore you are not providing jobs, you are not putting food on the table. You are living in a house of cards and need to address the way you operate. When things slow you cut cost, you sell equipment. You make and sell product for just enough to cover cost to take care of your employees. That is what this country is built on. When things are tough I am the first cut. I stop taking home a check. I don't threaten to fire everyone if someone does not cover my losses. We have enjoyed a great economy for several years! Thus allowing any company being operated correctly to survive this. I understand when you start talking stocks and so on it is a much different scale than myself but again corporations that large can do better. We are all entitled to our opinions, I respect yours but please put yourself in my shoes and try to understand where I am coming from also.

Our contingency plan is different but if it's not my Boss, Me (construction manager) and his cousin (survey manager) then we will close doors. But we actually plan for this shit. Just because Delta airlines, Kroger or McDonalds cant, we should let the free market run its course.... but this is racing, politics just start a PM before we all get banned....
As far as the racing I didnt watch the iracing, was it even legit?

we need to assist the businesses as they will provide jobs, but let’s get real. These CEOs make an extremely amounts of money, while the workers is busting their ass. In my opinion, the money needs to go help the unemployment system. Allow companies to get very low interest loans to survive or get shit moving once we are on the other side of the curve. The interesting thing is, if the money goes to people it will end up in the CEOs pockets in due time. But at least the wheels will keep turning this way. If the money goes to the corporations, it will allow the companies to make money while employees are getting paid, government gets to collect taxes on the money, then the employees go spend which in turns includes more taxes and money finding its way to the CEOs.

sorry, just spewed. I’ll leave with one last thought from my tangent. Think about how many times your money gets taxed. Think about where all our money ends up.

My honest opinion, I'd rather watch paint dry, than waste my valuable time watching a iracing race.

I am wondering how many of the small teams are going to fold because of this. If they ever get back going it will be HMS, JGR, SHR & RCR being the only cars on the track.
