I don’t think it was a big deal, go hang on the streets or with some young folks, I bet you hear stuff like that all the time.

This particular word, was once used as a hate type of thing, I get that. But it is used in music, tv/movies and in certain cultures. As a society, we seem to be marking every one “ plain” and with this, there is no culture being preserved. We are loosing cultural proficiency in the name of being respectful, history is being lost.

The things that are said and a name I hear used in vain on TV these days makes me sick. I watch mostly hunting shows because of it.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I am betting ol Ross Chastain will be in the 42 when they start back up. LOL, to bad for Larson. He should know better but the world is full of people looking to judge one another. Our sports media has nothing better to do than nail this guy to the cross. The way he said it is hard to come back from. When will people learn you just can't use the R! This MF rolled it!

Kyle will have to take the rest of the year off but what hurts is that none of the sponsors actually care what he said I am sure. They are just afraid of the backlash if they are associated with him now and that will be hard for him to overcome. Welcome to a world where everyone is afraid of what someone says and how the media spins it but no one actually cares about what happened, just how they will be perceived if they don't pretend to care or be outraged.

This has got to be a first in nascar, "driver fired while laid off playing video game". Wow.

Redneck, cracker, honkey and white trash needs to be added to the racial slur category. We can say those words to each other, but any other ethnic better not.

This is a bunch of bullshit. If I was Larson, I'd go race my sprint cars and tell Nascar to kiss my Asian ass.

    choice is great.

I don’t disagree, but there are a lot of words that can be very demeaning if used in a certain way. We continue to give these words the power by freaking out. If someone is trying to offend you, they will use what ever you let them.

That being said, there are for sure things that are just not acceptable for society, and I work hard to teach kids just to be respectable. TV, Movies and now internet continue to push the socially acceptable line.

LOL, driving what? The white triple K, unbranded gen 7 car? Dude's already a free agent at the end of the season. I just can't see a sponsor getting on board with a top team.

Kurt Busch is probably the only person that benefits from this. All the resources now go to him and CGR could easily sign him for several more years as Larson what the focus of that team.

Yeah, it's about time something good happened to Ross. Just hate that it's at Larson's expense.

Why in the heck are they returning at Darlington for the first new Cup race and giving them a second race date?

Darlington and Martinsville are closest to Charlotte, and it's possible South Carolina has a more aggressive reopening strategy than Virginia.

Might also be the easiest logistically for staffing. The bulk of the support crew for the race (operations, maintenance, safety, food & beverage, etc) and usually about 3-4 18 wheelers full of supplies come from Daytona and Darlington is closer. Darlington is an ISC/NASCAR track while Charlotte is/was owned by SMI.

The lastest update I've seen, from jayski says probably start back at Charlotte with the 600.
